Yes, I'm familiar with that sort of Math lesson too!
It was interesting what you said about juggling and the object in your hand being the focal point instead of the one in the air. Lots of life applications can be made from that and I'm sure you could write a book with juggling as the basis of philosophy.
I've never tried it but I imagine an activity like juggling must help you keep a calm, focused approach to all of life, like meditation in its own way.
