Tuesday, June 6, 2006 - Extreme Clean: HomeSchool Edition Part 2
Well Monday morning came and we were ready to get to work. First on the list -- our bathroom which has been unusable for about 9mos or more! We had a huge toilet leak, had to remove the toilet and install a new sub floor. Well the subfloor got replaced by my husband about a month ago and the peel and stick tile was my job.
Mom made us pancakes for breakfast -- wow -- my kids never get that in the morning!
While Mom cleaned out my refrigerator (Bless her Heart!!!) I was busy on my knees peeling and sticking and cutting tile pieces for the floor. It looks great! I then put in the caulk stuff between the floor and the tub. Then we decided to paint....why not? I already had the paint and it needed an update. Both of us got it done in a couple of hours, trim and all! We even painted the base of the sink...unfortunately you can't do much with a turqoise sink..but that's for another day and more dollars we don't have to spend! So now all that has to be done is to install a new toilet and for my hubby to put the drain back together in the tub (which was also broke but my manly hubby fixed it).
We ended the day with BLT's, corn and brussel sprouts for dinner thanks to Mom and hubby Daniel! Yum, Yum!
I felt a tremendous sense of accomplishment after doing that floor in the bathroom. And the paint just made a HUGE difference! I just don't do white walls...
So...what will we attempt tomorrow?
Hopefully I'll have pics soon!
Stay tuned....
