Life as I know it.

I just wanted to tell you all a crazy little story about my oldest daughter, Jubilee (the one who lost her first tooth). The other day I ran out to swich the sprinklers (a never ending job) and when I returned I found Jubilee hard at work. She was changing the two year old's diaper, the two year old's poopy diaper. Now those of you with toddlers know that this is no small task. I have never asked her to do this....she wanted to! She actually did a good job too! I checked. I of course made her  wash her hands. Then she says.."Oh, Sue called and..." she then proceeded to give me a phone message, wow! This little lady will be running the house before I know it. I told her that she does not have to change diapers and she says "I know, but I want too, I like it." Crazy...I would never say that, love my kiddos...diapers, not so much. My only problem is slowing her down so she will stay a kid a little longer. Before I know it she will be running her own house. What a blessing to wach the Lord raise up these little people despite my short commings.

I wish I had done that kind of stuff when I was Jubilee's age! Well, changing diapers not so much, but being a responsible big girl, yes!

Way to go Jubilee! What an inspiration!

Have a very bright, very cheerful day!

He He. He sure is cute. I've done silly things to my boys hair too. Love those baby cheeks.

LOL about the hair! Too cute!!!

It won't be long before your daughter tells her own "remember when..." stories... I still tell my little brother and sister (who are almost 30yo now!) how I used to change their cloth diapers when I was 5 years old. They still can't believe my parents trusted me with a big ole sharp safety pin at such a young age! And then I have to tell them, "See? I wasn't always mean to y'all-- you don't have any stab wounds!"

You are doing a great job, mommy! If you changed diapers with a grump, groan and bad attitude, there is no way your kids would think it was fun!
