• Monday 11 February 2008 - monday

Hi

well after the boys went away with there grandparents and aunty and uncle for all of friday and came back saturday afternoon they are still a little tired but doing good. They were very tired on saturday and yesterday they were bouncing back. And today they are still a little grumpy but have nearly bounced back to them full selves.

Where me on the other hand Isaac slept through for the first time in 3 nights. Yay. Not last night but the 2 nights before hand he was waking up every 15-30 mins from about midnight. Sometimes it was every 5 mins. I would settle him and he would be sleeping just get into bed and asleep and then he would wake up. I am not sure what was up with him but he slepted last night which is great. So i have been a little dopey if you know what i mean.

We are going to go out and do school soon. Isaac is napping and we just need to finish our chores and off we go.

• Tuesday 5 February 2008 - a new week

hiya

well not much has been happening here. Just the normal routine of school and doing daily chores. Very boring i would say so. I am really liking blogging but sometimes its hard to know what to write about. So i haven't posted.

My sister in law was going to have a look at my blog but i am not sure if she has gotten here yet... if you have please leave a comment.

The work men are still working on the street outside our house and will most likely will be for hte next 2 months or even longer. So far they have taken the top of the road and then dug down about half a metre. Then they dug down even more and replaced pipes i think because from 8am till when they had finished they had to cut our water off. it was like that for 2 days. They were really nice about it and came and told us first. They always put it back on when they had finished for the day so at least we had it at night. It didn't really muck our day around to much.

Exccept they are a distraction. The boys are loving having them work out the front they spend alot of there free time standing by the window watching the workers work. If they could they would stay there all day. Its cute because later on they pretend they are workers and do digging etc.

THe little one isaac is doing great now too. He turns 7mths this month and is getting so big. He is now eating rice cereal in the mornings, apple puree for lunch and pumpkin for dinner. What a big boy he is getting. Growing so fast. Hes nearly sitting and has been moving around for a while now. Not crawling as such but he manages to move around his cot alot and when on the floor he moves around too. Manily rolling but at times you see him on his tummy kicking his legs and pulling with his hands to get what he wants.

they grow up so fast

• Sunday 27 January 2008 - Blog up for Repairs

hiya

Well today is Sunday and its the weekend yay, especially as its a long weekend this weekend. We have Monday off as well as its a public hoilday. I came online as someone had posted a comment on one of my posts and i couldn't access it. Due to the fact that i hadn't put all across the html when i changed it to show what i wanted on it.

So for a time there i went back to a normal template and now i have added most of my stuff back but for some reason i can't get my Picture that i really want on my blog for a title. I made it in Paint Shop Pro so i really want it there. So at the moment it will stay off until i can work out the kinks and get it back on. I am glad i fixed most of it and i now can read comments. Thank you Sadie for the comment, i really liked it.

On monday, Darrian and Daniel are going on a field trip with there Daddy, Grandparents and some aunty and uncles. They are going on a all day 4wd driving trip a really bumpy one at that. The boys are so excitted about going. I told them it was a school feild trip to learn whats 4wd driver is all about. It bascially is a feild trip, that they will learn alot about. I think they are going Baccas Marsh and they will be in the car which is not really suitable for little Isaac at the moment. He is just to little and being in the car all day is going to hammer him. Plus if he starts crying there is not much i can do to calm him. So we decided that it was best that we stayed home. So that is what we are doing.

I am going to have a relaxing day with Isaac and do bits and pieces around the house that i haven't managed to do yet. maybe watch a movie or 2. Well i will see how it goes. :)

so much fun :0

• Thursday 24 January 2008 - Road Works

Hiya

well today the day starts of with huge trucks and lots of noise as they are working on the road outside our house. The boys are running round the house like they have there heads cut off from excitment, due to all the trucks and the digger. So much excitment.

Yesterday they had decided that there were dinasours in our back yard because they saw some huge foot prints. It was so cute as they went out as spy's trying to find the dinasours that were envading there back garden. Then they spent room time looking out the window looking for the dinasours. Very cute.

They are now running around the back garden having a blast.

• Tuesday 22 January 2008 - another school day all done

hiya

well another school day all done. It actually isn't that bad and the boys love doing school. Darrian really likes doing writing and so far he knows how to write f and he is learning B. Daniel is doing really well with the DEL Books. Not bad at all.

Isaac is not sleeping very well lately so today he only went down for half a hour which is unusual for him and so i spent alot of time resettling him and going back. Back and forth i went. He really only settled down when i finally picked him up and he went straight to sleep in my arms. Which i need to train him out of that because i can't hold him all the time.

not much else is happening around here. I am still sore last night was pretty bad as the other side was sore too. Not to meantion when i went for a skid on the floor and nearly went through the glass sliding door. I recovered and pulled myself out of the slide along the floor to land on the floor jaring my back and sides. I thought i would be sore today as i did that today but nope not to bad actually.

The boys are really doing great. They have settled down alot and are really enjoying school. The thing i am finding hard is keeping them busy all day long. They do school from 8am - 10am and then they do the rest of there chores, play till lunch time. After lunch they have room time at 1pm till 3pm and then free time till hubby gets home at 4pm and then the rest of day is always a jumbly till they go to bed at 7pm. i think i really need to get organised.

well need to feed little one, cya

• Monday 21 January 2008 - New week

Hiya

well its monday here and its a new week. Last week we didn't manage to get as much done of school as i hoped being as i was sick. We got some done but i wish we could have done more.

Today we did school and it went really well. Darrian is doing great with writing numbers etc and daniel is doing really well with the DELL books etc. Isaac is doing better since we have changed his formula to a soy based one. We think he has a allergy to cow based formula like daniel did. So after a day on it hes doing alot better as he is not spitting up so much.

I am still in pain with what they think i have a cyst on my overary which is causing stabbing pains on my left side. I have been booked in for a ultrasound but the earliest appointment is on the 29th of this month. Just over a week away. Hopefully the pain dies down alittle because right now if i spend to much time on my feet its painful and resting helps alot.

well i better go Isaac is wanting to play and the boys need some attendtion too.

• Monday 14 January 2008 - Monday Again

Well one week has hit the dust and another is starting :) Its before 7am and the boys are still sleeping which is a good thing because they have had so many late nights lately.

Darrian loves doing science and maths. He is really enjoying it this year. We have decided that we are going to do Core C over a year and a half which means he will finish up in July  09. This way Daniel will have started some writing etc because he really wants to write. They are 19mths apart but Daniel is trying to narrow the gap all the time. I am going to see how Daniel does and just give him the work he wants to do.

I don't expect them to be on the same level when we are done. I am just going to see how it goes.

Well i better go and check my emails we have to start school in a hour or so. Still have baby to finish feeding and put to bed again.

I still have to finish the html for this blog too.

• Saturday 12 January 2008 - Day 4 & 5

Well these days were really really hot. We did school and caught up for Wednesday and it wasn't to bad. Its alot of work but the boys did great.

At the moment we are sorting out the next year and what they are going to do. Money and Budget takes alot of time :) My husband is working out what money he needs for his 4wd trip through the simpson Desert in July 09. Darrian who will be 7 is also going and it needs alot of organising because there is hardly any places to get petrol and you have to carry all your water etc. They are going for 2 weeks with my father in law and brother in law.

All going well and if there is money left over i could be going to New Zealand for a hoilday too. Maybe at the same time as them or maybe this year. If its this year then i will take all the boys with me. We are trying for another baby and so if we get pregnant then i will go in July taking all three boys for nearly a month to my parents house in the country area of Motueka near Nelson. I am looking forward to it but the down side is the cost. Hubby wants me to take at least 1000 for spending money and then 500 for food. I also have to get Issac a passport etc. I hope i can go.

well i better go. Today is saturday and i have to sort out next week school, get isaac to sleep and cleaning etc. Not to meantion the washing and ironing.

• Tuesday 8 January 2008 - Day 2

Well today went really well. Isaac went to bed and was asleep before we started. He actually sleeped all the way to 10am which was great.

So we went out did all school and was finished by the time Isaac woke up and it wasn't actually to bad. The boys were playing educational games on the computer when Isaac woke. So good timing. Isaac was had some food and then bottle.

I think tomorrow i will organise it so that isaac has food before going to bed at 8am so then when he wakes i jsut have to feed him. And we do school. Tommorrow Darrian has a playdate with a friend and he is being picked up at 10:30am. So i have tomake sure we are all done by then and the house pretty tidy. Tomorrow is going to be busy :)

I am glad today went so well i was beginning to doubt weither i can do homeschool and after today i am more relax about the whole thing. Yay.

Day 2 over.

• Monday 7 January 2008 - Done

well after my last post we managed to get out to the sleepout do start school at 8am. I mucked around setting it all up and we offically started at 8:30am.

Well it wasn't to bad to say the least but we didn't finished till noon and its alot of work. We ahd interuptions tho as the door went twice, the dog kept getting up to mischeif and making alot of noise so i had to stop to sort her out. And Isaac woke from his nap and needed to be feed some breakfast as well as his bottle. He was a little upset this morning so we stopped a couple of times to settle him.

But otherwise i got it all done. We did the Bible, History, LA, Science, Handwriting and Maths. The Science Darrian really liked where the Hero Tales was ok as he remembered Martin Luthers name but thats about it. We stuck his picture in the timeline book but i am not sure if we were meant to this time. Oh well. He loved doing the handwriting.

After we finished i let them both have some down time and play Peter Rabbit. they then ran around a little and played with the doc. We started the Fitness course thing with Darrian having to run/walk 1.6k but as i couldn't go out of hte house as isaac was asleep he ran up and down our semi long driveaway. he did a full loop, up and back five times with only stopping once for a minute or so.

I know that he should of done the whole thing but he hasn't really done any exercise so this is all new to him. Later on today i have decided that Darrian and I will go for a ride on our bikes for half a hour every day which should help him out with the fitness and me as well.

Other all it wasn't to bad.. i have decided that i am going to format my page and doing something different to it. Not sure what yet but i think i will have a look at frontpage and see what i can do.

Well i better go as i have a house to tidy, bathroom and toliet to clean and a isaac to feed and entertain till its time for his nap. Then Darrian and I are going out on our bike ride.

Hope you all have had a good day

• Sunday 6 January 2008 - The Day Before We Start Sonlight Core C

Isaac

Isaac my 5mth old little boy is a delight.

Today is the day before we start Core C and i had alot planned this morning. But i never actually got it done. Which i am a little dissappointed with but Life keeps going and we did other things instead.

Last night i found a homeschooler blogger with the name of Our Quiverful. I spent most of last night and this morning reading her Blog about her very unwell baby called Noah and the trials of her family. She is a inspiration to Everyone and if you read this i would recommend to read her Blog as well. Even though family is going through such a tough time with Noah being so sick and in and out of hospital she still thinks of other people who could need a helping hand. Her and her husband do a list of things that are blessing. Her family and her are very inspirational in the way they keep blessing people and thanking the lord even though they are having a hard time as well. Such Faith

So i spent most of the morning doing that. We then got ready for Church and it was a long service today but a good one. Talking about Paul and when he visited Athens. It was manily about the unknown God and how Paul showed the people of Athens who made the world and everything in it. Very good service.

After doing some errands we came home and my older son had rest time in there rooms while little Isaac was upset for some reason after a while he went to sleep in my arms... Then woke about 1pm and then had a feed at 2pm. At 3pm he was meant to go for a nap like he would normally do but that was a no go. So i spent a bit of time settling him down. Eventually he went to sleep at 4pm and still is asleep now.

And when i thought i would have a little time to myself to do what i need to do the washingmachine was calling and the dishes too. Then its time to make dinner and a pudding. And now i am here. I should be out setting the last bits and pieces up for school but because its between 30-40 C here its to hot to go out to the sleep out to set up.

So i will have to make the most of it tomorrow morning and go with the flow. My plan for tomorrow is to get up at 7am and then out to school at 7.30am before it gets to hot. THe average here lately is around 40C which is to hot to go out side into a non airconditioned room to do school.

Busy Busy Busy are all familes :)

• Saturday 5 January 2008 - My Family

Welcome to My Blog

Well i just came across this website and saw the blog option and thoguht i would give it a try. I haven't been very good at doing blogs in the past but maybe i will be this time. I plan to.

I have 3 boys, Darrian my know it all and who is 5 nearly 6. He loves computers, tv and games. Hes one that can do things to your computer you don't know how to do. And i know a bit about computers and he has gotten one on me before. I think he is going to be the one to pull apart computers and build them like my husband does for a living.

Daniel has just turned 4 and he is my builder. He loves getting a wooden toy hammer and hammering away on anything he can find. He also loves drawing and puzzles. He is my senstive/moody/temperment boy all in one. He loves cuddles but when he doesn't get his own way he can be very stubborn.

Issac is the new addition to the family. He was due in August after we were told he was a girl. Turns out he was a boy and he is exactly what we needed. His name means laughter and he is lots of giggles and smiles. He is full of smiles and i call him my happy boy but he has a very stubborn tempermant as well. When its nap time and hes so tired he will fight you to go down and keeps fighting until he just suddenly drops off to sleep. When i say fight you i mean he throws his head around then the legs push up to buck and hte arms and feet go everywhere.

I have been homeschooling since November 2005 where we did some bits and pieces nothing major. Then in November 06 we started to read some of the Sonlight books we had just received. It was so excitting to open the box, that we could not read something from the box, so we did. Then in January of 2007 we started Sonlight Pre K which is now known as Core B. We still need to upgrade it to add the new books for Issac.

This year we are starting Core C which use to have the name Core K. I have spent the last week looking at what i have to do to put it all together. It is such a big jump from Core B to Core C that i am a little overwhelmed. There is so much more content that i am not sure how i am going to cope with it all.

I am thinking that i may make it go over a year and a half depending on how we go. I think Darrian should do ok but Daniel i am not sure about. He is trying to keep up with Darrian but i don't want to throw him in the deep end.

With core C we are doing Language Arts, Science, bible program, Singabore Pre K Maths 2a and 2b, reason for handwriting, get ready for the code and i think that is it. Daniel won't be doing hte handwriting or get ready for the code or the 2a and 2b maths. Instead he will be doing the PK Dell books, shapes & opposites and just hanging in there.

While doing all this i have little issac, which at the moment is teething so he has been spending alot of the time not sleep and crying. So i am not sure how it all will work out. But i am going to take it one day at a time :)
