Welcome to My Blog

Well i just came across this website and saw the blog option and thoguht i would give it a try. I haven't been very good at doing blogs in the past but maybe i will be this time. I plan to.

I have 3 boys, Darrian my know it all and who is 5 nearly 6. He loves computers, tv and games. Hes one that can do things to your computer you don't know how to do. And i know a bit about computers and he has gotten one on me before. I think he is going to be the one to pull apart computers and build them like my husband does for a living.

Daniel has just turned 4 and he is my builder. He loves getting a wooden toy hammer and hammering away on anything he can find. He also loves drawing and puzzles. He is my senstive/moody/temperment boy all in one. He loves cuddles but when he doesn't get his own way he can be very stubborn.

Issac is the new addition to the family. He was due in August after we were told he was a girl. Turns out he was a boy and he is exactly what we needed. His name means laughter and he is lots of giggles and smiles. He is full of smiles and i call him my happy boy but he has a very stubborn tempermant as well. When its nap time and hes so tired he will fight you to go down and keeps fighting until he just suddenly drops off to sleep. When i say fight you i mean he throws his head around then the legs push up to buck and hte arms and feet go everywhere.

I have been homeschooling since November 2005 where we did some bits and pieces nothing major. Then in November 06 we started to read some of the Sonlight books we had just received. It was so excitting to open the box, that we could not read something from the box, so we did. Then in January of 2007 we started Sonlight Pre K which is now known as Core B. We still need to upgrade it to add the new books for Issac.

This year we are starting Core C which use to have the name Core K. I have spent the last week looking at what i have to do to put it all together. It is such a big jump from Core B to Core C that i am a little overwhelmed. There is so much more content that i am not sure how i am going to cope with it all.

I am thinking that i may make it go over a year and a half depending on how we go. I think Darrian should do ok but Daniel i am not sure about. He is trying to keep up with Darrian but i don't want to throw him in the deep end.

With core C we are doing Language Arts, Science, bible program, Singabore Pre K Maths 2a and 2b, reason for handwriting, get ready for the code and i think that is it. Daniel won't be doing hte handwriting or get ready for the code or the 2a and 2b maths. Instead he will be doing the PK Dell books, shapes & opposites and just hanging in there.

While doing all this i have little issac, which at the moment is teething so he has been spending alot of the time not sleep and crying. So i am not sure how it all will work out. But i am going to take it one day at a time :)
