A Great Visit!!!!
We had a great visit with Mamaw (Mark's mom) and Uncle Jim (Mamaw's brother). They came down last Thursday night and stayed through Monday morning. The children loved having the attention, and I think that we were all spoiled by the end of the visit!
Uncle Jim mowed our yard on Friday while Mark was at work, and Mamaw mopped the floors, cleaned some of the windows and helped with laundry. They also helped the kids wash our van inside and out (Isaac said our van looked like Hayden and Quinn's when they were finished with it!). I REALLY appreciated the help! Every time I turned around, Uncle Jim was handing one of the children money. We made two trips to the Dollar Tree to buy some "treasures". They took us out to eat twice and bought pizza one night!
We went for a drive on Saturday. We drove through "the country" and rode a ferry. Uncle Jim enjoyed looking at the fields of sugar cane, and seeing the Dow Chemical plant. Uncle Jim, Mamaw and I snuck in a little time at the Tanger Outlet mall. We went to see Isaac play his first game, but it was rained out. They spent lots of time playing with the children. Uncle Jim spent time giving Isaac some tips to help him with his baseball skills.
It was so good to have family down! I really enjoy the times that friends and family can come see us. When we go for a visit to Tennessee, we are usually rushed because there are so many people that we want to see. The children really get to "bond" with people we love when they come here because they have quantity and quality time. We all had a bit of withdrawal on Monday after they left.
My Mom and Dad are coming for a visit on Thursday night and we are anxiously awaiting their arrival. Time with family is precious!
