"And Jesus said to them, "Therefore every scribe who has become a disciple of the kingdom of heaven is like a head of a household, who brings out of his treasure things new and old." ~ Matthew 13:52 (NASB)
"Now in a large house there are not only gold and silver vessels, but also vessels of wood and of earthenware, and some to honor and some to dishonor. Therefore, if a man cleanses himself from these things, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified, useful to the Master, prepared for every good work. Now flee from youthful lusts, and pursue righteousness, faith, love {and} peace, with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart." ~ 2 Tim 2:20-22
Homeschool Brings FAITH Back Into Education!
Homeschooling by Faith... is believing that God will provide what your children need to learn. Stepping out in Faith, asking Him for a schedule... asking Him what subjects to teach... asking Him what shall my kids learn today...
Yes, I have return from a long taken sabitical from the blog world. I want to catch you up on what we have been doing lately.
Our house that we rented in Florida was sold as a 'short sale' because the owners was in a financial bind. We were forced to move.... once again. Wow, I can't believe that every house we have lived in our the last almost five years have been sold leaving us to move again and again....
This time, my daughter and I have moved to Kansas City. We made the journey about two months. You see we went to the Open Door House of Prayer in Ft Pierce (closest to us in FL). I absolutely loved the place. Although very small, it carried a powerful punch in the Spirit with praise, worship and what they are doing with the children their. It is simply amazing! Well anyway, we moved to Kansas City where the International House of Prayer is located. Although we have been here only a short time, I absolutely love it here.
It is like starting all over again! We don't know anyone. We have joined the Forerunner Classes that they offer for the kids. I sit in on the classes with my daughter, and I am amazed at what is being taught.... but more amazed that the children are drinking it up! The kids actually understand the things written in Revelation. They are truly raising up the next generation with boldness and Truth!
And the Prayer room, is totally awesome! We spend a lot of time in their. There has been days that Tori has packed up her school work and went and sat at the tables in the PR and have gotten her work done with clarity in a few hours. Simply amazing we will learn upon the Holy spirit to teach.... LOL. The is no talking in the PR, so she had no other choice but to seek Him for help. What a great training ground to learn to walk in the Spirit.
I will write more later.... but thanks for stopping by and reading my update. Much hugs and kisses to you all for Christmas.

Aug. 11, 2009 - Recommendation: The Dolphin Series
I want to recommend this series of books.... My daughter absolutely LOVES whales, dolphins, etc.... She is asking the Lord about her becoming a Marine Biologist for Him. So when I came across this series posted throughout paperbackswap.com, I thought I would try at least one. When the book came in, it took for less than two days to consume it! She was so excited about the book.... that is, after reading it, I went online and order the first five in the series. Just yesterday, I ordered the remaining of the books on PBS to make sure we had them on hand when she is ready for them.
My daughter is not a reader by heart. I have to "force" her to pick up a book. I guess I was that way when I was growing, just because I did not have much time since I lived on a farm. But, I love reading now and have ever since I began to homeschool her. So when this series came along and sparked an interest within, I captured the moment to put her into a book with out having to force her. I will say this, if the book is about whales or dolphins, she will pick it up and read it. But there aren't many books that covers whales and dolphins for her age group. We do have an Animal Enclcopedia, that she has consumed. The three inch book is about ready to fall apart. I have caught her sleeping with this book... not because of some "issue" but because she feel asleep devouring the information of these animals. She also loves to draw them as well!!
I wanted to share with you a wonderful series that the Lord brought my way over the summer!!
Dolphin Diaries takes place on a schooner, called the Dolphin Dreamer, in the ocean. The characters aboard are on a scientific expedition, though rather than learning anything new as the plot claims is their quest, the books repeat already largely known facts about dolphins. The idea behind the journey is to make stops at different ports where information on dolphins will be exchanged by the marine biologists and other scientists, establishing a "Dolphin Universe" in which dolphin-related information is exchanged freely. In this fanciful tale, all the characters have their own computers and the latest anything they need, from underwater speakers to tagging devices. They spend an ideal year travelling the world in their personal schooner in comfort and style, watching and interacting with dolphins. Dolphin Diaries features a crew of marine biologists and their assorted assistants.

Jul. 20, 2009 - THE QUESTION that CHANGED MY LIFE - by David Ryser
A number of years ago, I had the privilege of teaching at a school of ministry. My students were hungry for God, and I was constantly searching for ways to challenge them to fall more in love with Jesus and to become voices for revival in the Church. I came across a quote attributed most often to Rev. Sam Pascoe. It is a short version of the history of Christianity, and it goes like this:
Christianity started in Palestine as a fellowship; it moved to Greece and became a philosophy; it moved to Italy and became an institution; it moved to Europe and became a culture; it came to America and became an enterprise. Some of the students were only 18 or 19 years old--barely out of diapers--and I wanted them to understand and appreciate the import of the last line, so I clarified it by adding, "An enterprise. That's a business." After a few moments Martha, the youngest student in the class, raised her hand. I could not imagine what her question might be. I thought the little vignette was self-explanatory, and that I had performed it brilliantly. Nevertheless, I acknowledged Martha's raised hand, "Yes, Martha." She asked such a simple question, "A business? But isn't it supposed to be a body?" I could not envision where this line of questioning was going, and the only response I could think of was, "Yes." She continued, "But when a body becomes a business, isn't that a prostitute?"
The room went dead silent. For several seconds no one moved or spoke. We were stunned, afraid to make a sound because the presence of God had flooded into the room, and we knew we were on holy ground. All I could think in those sacred moments was, "Wow, I wish I'd thought of that." I didn't dare express that thought aloud. God had taken over the class.
Martha's question changed my life. For six months, I thought about her question at least once every day. "When a body becomes a business, isn't that a prostitute?" There is only one answer to her question. The answer is "Yes." The American Church, tragically, is heavily populated by people who do not love God. How can we love Him? We don't even know Him; and I mean really know Him.
... I stand by my statement that most American Christians do not know God--much less love Him. The root of this condition originates in how we came to God. Most of us came to Him because of what we were told He would do for us. We were promised that He would bless us in life and take us to heaven after death. We married Him for His money, and we don't care if He lives or dies as long as we can get His stuff. We have made the Kingdom of God into a business, merchandising His anointing. This should not be. We are commanded to love God, and are called to be the Bride of Christ—that's pretty intimate stuff. We are supposed to be His lovers. How can we love someone we don't even know? And even if we do know someone, is that a guarantee that we truly love them? Are we lovers or prostitutes?
I was pondering Martha's question again one day, and considered the question, "What's the difference between a lover and a prostitute?" I realized that both do many of the same things, but a lover does what she does because she loves. A prostitute pretends to love, but only as long as you pay. Then I asked the question, "What would happen if God stopped paying me?"
For the next several months, I allowed God to search me to uncover my motives for loving and serving Him. Was I really a true lover of God? What would happen if He stopped blessing me? What if He never did another thing for me? Would I still love Him? Please understand, I believe in the promises and blessings of God. The issue here is not whether God blesses His children; the issue is the condition of my heart. Why do I serve Him? Are His blessings in my life the gifts of a loving Father, or are they a wage that I have earned or a bribe/payment to love Him? Do I love God without any conditions? It took several months to work through these questions. Even now I wonder if my desire to love God is always matched by my attitude and behavior. I still catch myself being disappointed with God and angry that He has not met some perceived need in my life. I suspect this is something which is never fully resolved, but I want more than anything else to be a true lover of God.
So what is it going to be? Which are we, lover or prostitute? There are no prostitutes in heaven, or in the Kingdom of God for that matter, but there are plenty of former prostitutes in both places. Take it from a recovering prostitute when I say there is no substitute or unconditional, intimate relationship with God. And I mean there is no palatable substitute available to us (take another look at Matthew 7:21-23 sometime). We must choose.

BEAUTIFUL CHRISTIAN SISTER ByMaya Angelou 'A woman's heart should be so hidden in Christ That a man should have to seek Him first to find her.' When I say.. 'I am a Christian' I'm not shouting 'I'm clean living,' I'm whispering 'I was lost, Now I'm found and forgiven.'
When I say.... 'I am a Christian' I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.
When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.
When I say.. 'I am a Christian' I'm not bragging of success.. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess..
When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not claiming to be perfect, My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it.
When I say.... 'I am a Christian' I still feel the sting of pain... I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name.
When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not holier than thou, I'm just a simple sinner Who received God's good grace, somehow!

Well here we go again.... I have not written much lately because of what we are trying to accomplish.
We got word from our landlord they are putting the house up on the market. Since they have place the sign in our yard we have had people DAILY looking at our house! We have made the decision to be moving to Wisconsin.
I knew something was up when the Lord told me to "deplete and prepare"... I am sure there is more to this message as He has already revealed the next step to us. I have sold and bless many families with our homeschool books, and many household items. We have depleted over 1/2 of our Library and school books. We are depleting to bare nothings, or at least to what I call bare nothings....
We are having a yard sale this weekend to actually sell our furniture. We are keeping our dining room table, chairs, and hutch. My daughter's bedroom set.... a Broyhill 6 piece wooden set and also a two piece wooden poster bed for me and my desk. Everything else mus go. I simply don't have room.
Thus far, we have raised about 60% of the money we need to move. But God is Faithful to provide MORE than what we need. That is just the way He is. He is our provider!!
I am not sure what Wisconsin holds for us as a family, but God promises to go before me and He is my rearguard.
I don't know exactly when I am moving. We are on a month-to-month lease with a 30 day vacate notice. I do believe it will be in October/November that we leave, but this what I am feeling so I am not 100% positive on this.
I love my God!!! As I am writing this, I am getting excited about what He has in store for us!! LOL.

I would like to put out a garden to grow some of our favorite veggies. But, I live in a rented house. So I have been looking into different means of growing my own food, becoming more self-sufficient than what I am with what I have.
The soil where I live is actually sand under the grass. We went to plant some sunflower starts and found that I dug into the sand and not dirt. Things don't grow very well in the sand, I hear anyway. This is all new to me!
So I contacted the 4-H extension office and they told me of the options I could do to have my own garden:
1. Haul in dirt to mix with the sand.
2. Container gardening
3. Raised beds
Hauling dirt in, was not an option since I do not own my land.
I started looking into raised gardens. They looked verily simple to create... building up the wall for the foundation to make a garden. However, that becomes a "permanant" fixture and I won't be able to take it with me. So that is scratched off my list of possibilities.
The other option is container gardening. It is pretty big here in Florida. The newest thing on the market is a topsy turney. I think they are so cool, but too expensive when you can make them on your own!!
Check out how easy it is to make your own....
Since I live in Florida the plastic buckets get really too hot for the rooting system. Instead, I am using the "moss" lined hanging baskets that I got on clearance for $5/each. I thought it was an awesome deal! Since I am moving in a few months, I only done two of them: one tomato and one banana pepper for my daughter.
With these handing baskets, you can even plant one on top!!
Now, how cool is that !?!?

I keep hearing the Lord tell me to "PREPARE" and to "DEPLETE."
Deplete.... Deplete.... Deplete. I am so amazed at how much "stuff" I have collected thus far living where I do. If you have been following my blog, you know then I moved approximately 10 months ago. In those few months, I have collected many, many items!
Hearing to deplete is nothing new to me or my daughters. I believe our job here is done, and the Lord is preparing us to move onto another location. I am not sure where we are going, but my daughter and I are getting the same unction.
In the past, the Lord has spoken to me to "bless His people He send my way..." and I did just that. After that was done, I only had my rocker, kitchen table & chairs, and few other misc items. We even got rid of our beds and dressers. I remember seeing a corner in my daughters room piled of clothes... we were like this for a few months. Looking back, the Lord was removing the vain idles in my life, those that I could get rid of anyway. Before too long, we were moving..... a new location, a new start. (Don't get me wrong.... the blessings are HUGE once we settle!!! The Lord will furnish my house for FREE, or next to nothing)
Another time, the Lord told me to sell my things. Then, I did. The money was used to move long distance. Again, I had very few pieces of furniture.
The the next time, He just told me to move. I didn't collect anything during that stay.... LOL.
Every time the Lord has moved me, it has been to begin a Ministry for Him and then hand it off to the one who steps up into their Authority. My God is so wonderful!! Better yet, my daughters are getting a wealth of experience that they can use as well. I believe one of the important things we can teach our children is to be flexible with the Lord. Not to put Him in a box, but more importantly don't put OURSELVES in a box!!!
I do not know what I am doing this time. The Lord is telling me to prepare, to stock up on food and water and to prepare.... and to deplete. And that is what I am doing. I posted an email of FREE home school books I am giving away. I did post some stuff on Ebay so I can raise money for something the Lord is telling me I need.
I love my Lord. He gives me the thrills, romance and adventure that makes our lives very exciting!!

There recently was a death of a 98 year old lady named Irena.
During WWII, Irena, got permission to work in the Warsaw Ghetto, as a Plumbing/Sewer specialist.
She had an ulterior motive...
She KNEW what the Nazi's plans were for the Jews, (being German).
Irena smuggled infants out in the bottom of her tool box she carried, and she carried in the back of her truck a Burlap sack, (for larger kids). She also had a dog in the back that she trained to bark when the Nazi soldiers let her in, and out of the ghetto.
The soldiers of course wanted nothing to do with the dog, and the barking covered the kids/infants noises. During her time and course of doing this, she managed to smuggle out and save 2500 kids/infants.
She was caught, and the Nazi's broke both her legs, and arms, and beat her severely.
Irena kept a record of the names of all the kids she smuggled out, and kept them in a glass jar, buried under a tree in her back yard.
After the war, she tried to locate any parents that may have survived it, and reunited the family.
Most of course had been gassed.
Those kids she helped got placed into foster family homes, or adopted. Last year Irena was up for the Nobel Peace Prize....
She LOST.
Al Gore won, for a slide show on Global Warming.
The life of Irena Sendler was one of great testimony, one of courage and love, one of respect for all people, regardless of race, religion and creed.

Your child is not ordinary in any sense. Your child has a special call on his or her life. God gave to you your own special and unique children. God has entrusted you to love and to train them for Him. They are not for our good pleasures, but for His. Yet, if you train them for Him, they will bring you much delight and pleasure.
Also, never forget that they do not belong to anyone else either. Don’t make the mistake of turning your children over to others to train. Cherish and protect what God has given to you, so that you can give them to the Lord, undefiled and ready for His use. Think on this daily! Soon it will become your mindset and you will be able to better make decisions that you will face regarding the upbringing of your children.
My goal for my children is to go into full-time ministry to advance His kingdom. What is your goal? Is it money, fame, or pride?

Work homeschooling into your home life. Some parents find it fun to “play” school with the younger children who thought they wanted to go to school. But to put a school into your home, rather than attaining the mindset of educating your children daily, you will be missing a blessing, you may burnout, and you may create an atmosphere for failure.
It will be VERY difficult to begin to educate your children in your home, if your house and/or home is out of order. If you live without any routine, you will become exasperated and your children will become confused and even more unruly. In addition, when you spread yourself or your children too thin, you will find yourself giving up. This is not God’s way. God is a God of order. God has a consistent routine. The sun comes up in the east and goes down in the west at the same time every day! Give your children that same kind of consistency in your home to create security. God is a God of peace and of waiting. Rushing is of the enemy since it is his goal to “shall persecute the saints of the Most High.” (Dan. 7:25).

“…and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house;
and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.” ~ Matt. 7:25
If you follow what God says, your foundation will be the Rock of Jesus Christ. Begin to build upon the Rock. Don’t wait, start NOW. Be sure that every day you cover “the basics.” Be sure to begin the day with Bible; then do reading, writing and math. Later, add in science, geography, etc. Do not jump in with a full plate. If you do just a “little bit” every day you will have good fruits for your labor and be able to go the long haul.
“Go to the ant, you sluggard! Consider her ways and be wise, which, having no captain, overseer or ruler, provides her supplies in the summer, and gathers her food in the harvest. How long will you slumber, O sluggard? When will you rise from your sleep? A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep— so shall your poverty come on you like a prowler, and your need like an armed man.” ~ Prov. 6:6-11
Those who fail to build a foundation upon Him, and chose to build with fancy subjects and textbook, find that they fail. This is what competition does! The evidence is bad fruit! Bad fruit can consist of many things but let’s look at the fact that 85% of all high school graduates are functionally illiterate. Colleges now have to add remedial courses. This should be enough to wake up Christian parents, but now to mention all the sin, evil, dangers, and evolution in the schools.
Intimidation runs rampant through the homeschooling communities to compete with the local schools that have already been proven to be a failure both educationally and morally!! It would be very foolish of us to try and imitate an educational system that is failing or to feel intimidated by trying to compete with this failing world system.

Carefully seek Him through prayer and He is ALWAYS faithful to answer you. He will lead you by opening and closing the doors for you, and He will keep you from falling!
“I love those who love me; and those who diligently seek me will find me.” ~ Prov. 8:17
“Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left.” ~ Isa. 30:21
“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’” ~ Isa. 41:10

When you try to homeschool with pride, you are in essence setting your children and yourself up to fail. Pride is mentioned 51 times negatively in the Bible. Proverbs 16: says, "Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before stumbling." If you want your children to learn something for the reason of pride or boosting to others, rather than to use a talen for "the glory of God" you set your children up for destruction.
Pride can also push you to do whatever you can to please or impress others, especially your parents or your in-laws who are against homeschooling and question your ability to educate their grandchildren.
James 4:4 says, “...whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.”
“For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a bond-servant of Christ.” ~ Gal. 1:10
“Slaves, in all things obey those who are your masters on earth, not with external service, as those who merely please men, but with sincerity of heart, fearing the Lord.” ~ Col. 3:22

May. 23, 2009 - Your Personal Email Library Reminder Service
Let me say that this must be one of the best ideas I have heard of.... especially if you are like me and return a stack of books, a week later!! I stopped checking out books and videos at the Library just because I couldn't get them back on time. It is not like I am overly busy as some families, I just forget what day it is. LOL.
I know this year for several of the books that I am using for Student of the Word and Mystery of History will be Library books. My book need list is too long this year for me to purcahse books for my shelf, especially after I have gotten the mandate from God to "deplete."

EQUIPPING THE NEXT GENERATION
To reach the children of this generation with the true power of the living God to satisfy their natural hunger for the supernatural life before the enemy gives them a false satisfaction of being lovers of pleasure and not lovers of God.
"Tell your children about it, let your children tell their children." Joel 1:3.
