Today is Saturday, such a nice day... for tornadoes.
There is currently a rain train of thunderstorms going through Georgia. The internet is on the fritz, and we have heard tornado sirens more times in a day than I ever have. It was thundering a lot (poor Harry) and hail the size of baseballs and grapefruit is expected in a couple counties. There is also maybe going to be tornado touchdowns.
For us, it was raining reeeeaaallllyyyy hard and hail the size of (almost) golf balls were pounding the streets thirty minutes ago. This is supposed to come around again for some people. We went out after it passed, and the streets were full of flowing water, and the air smelled of pine trees. I could still hear thunder and the faint hum of the tornado sirens.
Atlanta wasn't so lucky last night. It was thundering really loud for us (Only Divepup and me upstairs) and Harry was trying to climb into my lap. A tornado (130 mph, six mile path, 300 yd wide) went through downtown Atlanta, hitting the CNN building (passed there), the Georgia Dome, and the Phillips Arena (I've been there). It caused a lot of damage.

I am just thankful Josh and Dad didn't go on a hike this morning.
We have had bad weather all week. Tuesday had high winds in ______. It hit the park we go to every Tuesday and snapped more than 300 trees.
Most used hang-out spot. There used to be a frisbee up on the roof.
Approximately $15 million dollars worth of damage has been estimated. The playgrounds were destroyed. They say it will take weeks for some sections to reopen.
