College Plan is Changing Again......
Hey, I haven't been here in a while......Well my college plan just changed yet again! I am thinking about going into journalism or art, I can't really decide between the two. I love art and I love to write, which should I choose??? I don't know which one I love more but I have a year before I have to make up my mind.
Change of subject....I am listening to a Brad Paisley cd, don't tell anyone I'm listening to a country cd (it's not mine by the way), lol. I'm talking to one of my friends on msn right now, also....And in about 30 minutes I am going to number2.com, oh joy!...j/k

He determines teh number if stars and calls them each by name. Great is our LORD and mighty in power; His understanding has no limit. The LORD sustains the humble but casts the wicked to the ground. - Psalm 147:4-6
Sing to the LORD with thanksgiving; make music to our God on the harp. He covers the sky with clouds; He supplies the earth with rain and make grass gro on the hills. He provids food for the cattle and for the young ravens when they call. - Psalm 147-7-9

The Lord is coming soon.....
"For I command you today to love the LORD your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the LORD your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess." Deuteronomy 30:16
Just something to think about; one of my mom's friends said the Lord will more than likely come during the Fall, not this year but the year He does come. Something about the Ceremony of Trumpets, I don't know. All I know is, I can't wait for that wonderful day to come, the day I go home to be with my heavenly Father, the day I meet my grandfather, the day I can see my greatgran agin, that's a day worth waiting for!
The verse above is one that tells how to live your life the right way. But you have to do more than live the right way, you heart has to be right with God, invite the LORD into your heart, let Him clean you and make you pure.
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall die, but have everlasting life" Jonh 3:16

Wildlife Update
Back in April I said something about wildlife judging and the girl who was like me, ok here we go.......
We went to the Regional Competition and won, well the high school team did. The junior high team came in second. Once that contest was over John, Justin, Justin, Amber and I started stundying for the State Competition. Since there can only be three to four people on a team Amber was the alternate. We all studied until we couldn't think stright anymore!
The day befor the competition we hit the road for a seven hour drive! Outback Stake House was on the minds of both Justins...lol. The team rode with the coach, and Carson, the assistant coach rode with Aunt Rose. The laughs never stoped!!
Once we were at our hotel we decided we wanted to go swimming. As Amber and I were walking to the elevator we met some of our competition. We like acting like blonds to make the other teams think they're good and that's what we did! After swimming we met another team staying at our hotel, they invited me to eat watermelon with them, Amber taged along and so did Aunt Rose, I wasn't very happy about the tag alongs...
On the day of the contest we were ready by 7:30 A.M. I got car sick on the way to the place we were going to be at all day. At the end of the day, after we ate dinner it was time to see who was going to Uhta! The indvidual high scorer in foods was, well I can't remember. The indvidual high scorer in areal photos was me! Thin indviual high scorer in oral reasonings was one of our Justins. In over all indvidual high scorers, 4th I forgot, 3rd one of our Justins, 2sd me, 1st....our other Justin!!!! It's safe to say we sweped the competition! And we are goignt o UHTA!!!!

That Old Man, Robert
Back in Decemeber I wrote about an old man who died. Robert was the closest thing I have ever had to a grandfather but he was more than that; he was a man of God! Robert loved the Lord with all his heart, you could see the love in his eyes and hear it in his voice.
Thinking about this sends stabing pains through me but he is with God now. Robert is in Heaven! I wish he was still here, though. He could make me laugh at a time like this...
Saturday Grandmother, Mom and I are going to see May, his wife. The thought of this trip is why all the pain is coming back. I want to go, don't get me wrong, May needs us, too.
What I need to do is cry, I haven't cry in over a month. The funny thing is I have had so many reasons to but the tears won't come....
I'll update on this trip when we come back.

Wildlife
Ok, so I am trying out a new font today...just to see if I like it.........Yesterday (Thursday) was wildlife day, Tuesday was also wildlife. Just to let you know; I hate wildlife with a passion! But this year is very different, this might be my last year and there are some new kids who suck! So the very few of us who have been doing this for a few years (year 3 for me) are helping the new kids. Our team kicks a** every single year, this and the years to come could be different, though. It is up to Justen, John, Carson, Amber, and me to help teach them all we know.
I can still remember my very first day of wildlife....It was the spring of 2005 (make it sound like a long time ago), I was given a sheet of paper with a lot of "x"s on it. This paper was for the "On Site Habitat Management". Let me just say I am a city girl, always have been and always will be; wildlife judgeing teams are for farmers and hunters and country people. Not for a city girl! The lowwer your score the better. Example: 58= bad, 0= good! Now, that first day I scored a 58! That is the worst you can do!
This is my third year doing wildlife and in these three years I have never seen anyone join our team as bad as I was that first day....until, of course, this year. There is this girl who joined this year and she is just as bad as I was! I am helping her out, not 'cause I feel sorry for her but because she reminds me of myself. If I had someone to help me out, who knows how good I'd be today! She has what it takes, only...she needs someone to show her where the road is; and that would be me.

Funny Thing
Last night was a night I won't soon be forgetting! It was about 7 P.M., the sun was shinning bright, the birds were singing. I was sitting under my favorite tree writing and drawing when my mom walked out side and asked "Have you talked to grandmother today?"
No one had talked to her all day, no one could get in touch with her either. What had been a lovely afternoon turned into a storm of fear. What if she had fallen and couldn't get to phone? What if she was outside and had fallen? So many things came to mind.
10 minutes later we were in the car pulling out of the driveway and then......"OH MY GOD!! I DON'T HAVE THE HOUSE KEY!" The words had come out of mom's mouth one second and the next John was in the backyard standing under his window (he had left it open for some unknown reason), he took a leap and was in the house! Once we had the keys we were on our way.
I had been driving for about 15 minutes, trying to stay withing the speed limit, my mom had a thought.....what if grandmother had gone to the bible study at church? Last night was the first meeting for the older ladies of the church, so perhaps that was were she was. All of the fear went away, the more we thought that the more real it seemed to be.
Driving down that old country road always seems to feel like freedom to me and last night it really did! I was greatful for that, I needed to feel a since of freedom at that time. Meeting so many cars on this almost forgotten road made the bible study seem really real. When we arrived at the church not a soul was there.
Knowing the backroads like the back of my hand, I went the short way to grandmother's house. When we pulled in to her driveway, there was her car and she was walking into the house! We had found her! We decided not to tell her about our fears and walked on in with her.
American Idol was coming on, so we stayed for a while and watched it with her. Sometimes I think God has a funny way of doing things........

My Birthday/ My Book
My birthday is coming up. What do I want? A Beagle, or just anykind of dog really. Not that I am going to get one. So besides that I got a lot of art related stuff: an art book, drawing pencils, a new diary (not that has anything to do with art), a "how to paint ocean senses" book, and two books for my enjoyment "Pride and Prejudice" (finally) and "Jane Eyre". Yes, I recived my bday gift early. I know I like P&P but the other I have never heard of before, but it looks and sounds like it's going to be a good book.
Speaking of books, I am thinking about writing a book. I am not sure how long it will take but I have started on it. The book is going to be about my 9/11 experience, I am looking forward to writing this book. I started on it thursday. The problem in writing this book is going to be remembering that day so long ago, my feelings, what was said, the looks upon people's faces, there's just so much I have to remember!

I haven't been around for a while. let's see what has been happening???
Algebra is killing me! French is coming close to killing me! English saved my life along with art. Biology means freedom! Bible= piece of mind. Music calms the strom in me. And writing puts the past behide me.
Yep, I think that covers my life, not really. Put school work aside and I am about to get through life.
I love this time of year. Spring is in the air! I draw, paint, doddle, ect. the most in Spring. I don't know why, I just do. Well I thought I would just drop in and say "Hi"!

I Have More To Say
Ok, so I've been talking about speeches....Well I just realized I never told what my speeches were about!!!!!!
The first speech we we had to write had to be on our Hero. We could not know the person, and yes, we had to be able to look them up online. My one and only hero is my grandmother, the greatest nurse who lived, alive, and who ever will live. I couldn't write about her, it still makes me mad! But in the end I wrote about MaryKay Ash. fyi, have you ever heard of MaryKay Cosmetics? If so then you know who I am talking about, and it should make since as to why I would write a "hero Speech" on her. If you don't know who she is or what MaryKay Cosmetics is, well think of make-up, that one word speaks for itself.
This new speech to be given, either this week or next week, has to be on a need. But I can't write the solution to the need. Well my "Need" speech is on nedding to protect the coral reefs. Personally I think it's a good speech (who wouldn't, hahaha), it's just not as good as the other one. But this speech is more meaningful to me because it's about the ocean. So I like this one more.
I have a feeling the next speech is going to be the solution to the need. So I started writing that speech friday, I'm almost through with it, but maybe we will have a free topic next time instead. Ican write a free topic speech before I can blink! No joke. The hardest part is coming up with the subject. If it's a research paper or something along that line I perfer to have an asigned subject, but not for speeches. When I can write a speech on anything I want to, I write killer speeches. I also like helping my friends write their speeches, just as long as I don't get in trouble for it.

Good Afternoon
The youth group at my church was doing the "True Love Waits" thing for the month of Feb. Last night was the commitment service. Our parents had to go down with us. Two of my friends, Lauren and Joe (who have been going out since july), refused to go down to the alter with the rest of us, even though they were at church every wednesday night for TLW. I won't say what they told me last night when I asked them why they didn't go down, but I will say this; they need a lot of prayer. They need more prayer than a group of friends can give them!
Saturday I went shopping. Yay for the greatest sport in the world! hahaha. My mom has decided that she wants to loss wait so I can take her diving in a few years; hint hint, Australia. So I am waling two miles a day with her, we started this saturday afternoon. Oh yes, before I forget......I went to the basket ball game and we got our *beeps* kicked!! The sad part is the other team was all freshmen and we were mostly seniors!!!!
Over the summer I met Shae who was a really good friend far a while. I am not really sure what happened other than we got into a fight over who knows what, so we stoped talking. I told you about going to YEC, well that's when we started talking agin. i thought "We're on a bus not much to do, so he talking to me." well he's still talking to me, so I guess he's over the fight we had. But I don't know if I am, that's the problem. I am just glad we can start our friendship over and get off on the right foot this time, and not jump from one thing to something completly different.
Tonight's Girl's Night Out! Oh, I can't wait. Monday nights are the highlight of my week. We do all kinds of things, you just wouldn't believe!
Well I have plaeces to go and people to see. Bye.

29 Days
Hey hey. 29 days to go! In just 29 days I will be, are you ready for it? I will be 17!! Oh, I can't wait. The world will never be the same. hahahaha
One year and 29 days to go and I will be 18! After that I only have to wait four months, and then freedom! I will be on the other side of the state. That's not enough, but guess it'll have to do. It's only for two years and then I will be in Queensland Australia! That's a beautiful thought.

Hello
Wow!! It's been a while since I've been here......
I gave my AWESOME speech about a week ago. Everyone loved it, and the moms teaching the class and my friends all think that I really do have a gift for writing speeches, and for giving them. Next week we have to give another one; I am soooo ready! I'm ready to take on the world!!
I went to YEC (Youth Evangelism Conference) last weekend. I had soooooooooo much fun! And I met a lot of new people. We went to the mall both days that we were there, now that's something I can live with!
One month to go and I'll be 17!!!!!!! Which means one year to go 'til I can be FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah, just in case you want to know when I am going to Australia....in 3 1/2 years. Mom won't let me go half way around the world at 18, so I came up with the best college plan ever!!!!! I'm going to UTK for to years to study wildlife (the first two years of marine bio & wildlife are the same), then I will be going to Australia in 2010 for three years so I can get my BS Degree. Who knows I may just move over there.........
Next week I am getting two tropical fish. Mom and John both hate dogs so we decided I could have two fish.
I'm not sure what all has happened lately. For now that's all I can think of. Bye.

Salvation
The home school group I am in has a teen group for studens in the sixth-twelwth grade.
Our teen group has stsrted a Speech Class. Tuesday was our second class. Mrs Ann, the mom teaching the class, towards the end gave her testimony. Then told us we had five minutes to gather our thoughts and then we would be giving ours. This was by far the scariest thing any of us have ever done!
One of us, Sara, never looked up the whole time we were giving our testimonies. When it came her turn she wrote something and handed it to Mrs Ann. After Sara sat back down she hid her face and tears rolled down her checks. This is when we all knew that our friend wasn't saved! She had never experienced what we had just talked about! At this I felt a tear roll down my face, perhaps it was a tear from giving my testimony 'cause I cried while giving it, but in my heart I knew this wasn't the case.
Once Mrs Ann started talking agin, she acted as though she was taking a breath but instead mouthed "Talk to her." Then Mrs Kay took Sara out of the room. Ten minutes later she ran back in grabbed her Bible and ran back out. Then we all knew that our friend was, at that very second, accepting Jesus into her heart!
The Lord used our greatest fear to reach out and talk to a dear friend, a friend we thought was saved!
We were assigned to write a speech that we will be giving at the end of the mounth. Once I got home that night I wrote and memorized my speech in four hours.
Since Tuesday I have known that God wants me to be a public speaker. My mom saids I have a gift for writing speeches.
