Yesterday, the Houston Astros took a chance as they signed reliever Oscar Villarreal to a 2-year, $2.85 million dollar total contract. Villarreal, 26, has played 5 big league seasons, and his rookie year being the best of those seasons. His rookie season was in 2003 with the Diamondbacks in which he went 10-7 with a 2.57 ERA. After two seasons of not-complete major league ball, in 2006, he posted a 9-1 record with a 3.31 ERA. But he had a rough time in 2007 with the Atlanta Braves, going 2-2 with a 4.24 ERA. In 2006. He has proven himself to be able to be a good big league reliever, but only time will tell.

No, no... I didn't have cancer - Mom did. We were actually on our way home from a trip (the day before my birthday) and the doctor called her cell phone to tell her. The radio then started playing a song called "Live Like You Were Dying." *rolls eyes* Thanks...
They got her right into surgery and removed all the cancer, and she didn't need chemo or radiation. The Lord is good, isn't he?
