Horseshoes and Hand grenades
Finally, one room almost completely put back together. Or close enough for horseshoes and hand grenades. I have the school room organized! All the stacks sorted, papers organized or tossed, and I can find things now! I was rejoicing with K who said, "I want to do school." So we'll start some organized activities on Monday - mainly math practice, reading and hopefully get started on our Olympic unit study.
K is finishing up swimming this week. I'll probably try to sign him up again for another session later in the summer to keep up his progress. No workers are scheduled for this weekend, so dh and I will have some down time. The monthly library sale is Saturday and I plan to go, then getting together with dh's family for a Father's Day barbeque on Sunday. I have quite a bit of computer work to get done - editorial deadline next week and lots of paperwork for dh's consulting business. So off I go.
Blessings to you this evening!

It sounds like you have had a busy week with the remodeling. At least you got some progress done on the house and now the school room is straightened. Yea!
Wow, what a mean mom you are to take away computer time. : ) That is my favorite punishment for my daughter because it really gets her attention. Don't you hate it when your kids go through little spells like this? Mine are usually good, but they have their moments.
Sounds like you're doing great parenting to me.

Isn't it great when a big mess gets organized? I love that feeling, but don't get to that point too often! I'm glad you have a weekend of fun and relaxing planned. We can sympathize to a certain degree, my mom and two of my siblings are living with us for a week while their kitchen gets renovated. It'll be nice to get your house back to yourself when it's all done. God bless.

I'm so glad it's all coming together! Are you going to post pictures when all is finished? I haven't posted any of mine because it seems to stay in a permanent state of chaos...or maybe that's me :-). Actually it's both.
Sounds like you're on top of the discipline issues concerning your seven-year-old. My youngest daughter is seven and it seems we go through seasons of rebellion where she is testing me more than when she used to. Growing up is hard for both them and us.
Blessings, Julie

It always feels good when you finish organizing all of the school books and supplies. I need to go through all of my things again!
Would you mind going into your template and changing the link in my mission field designs button so it links to my website rather than my blog? I am trying to get all of my buttons to link to my website. I can help you do it if it's confusing.
Thanks!!

Hi Robin,
I wanted to drop by while I had a moment and say Hi!
Hope everything is still going well at your house and the remodel is progressing as smoothly as possible. I am glad that K is happy that school is back in session. My kids are still happy that school is not in session. Maybe it's their age. : )
