OutbreakDoctor Philip J. Calman was sweating. Worse than that he was in trouble, big trouble. He took fast corners and came in on constant short stops to keep from knocking over obstacles and others traveling the hospital hallway. He wiped a damp rag across his forehead. He had only just received the news. They were shocking. Stunning. Jaw dropping. His mind was going a million things at once."Entschuldegunze Bitte!" he shouted, continuing on down the hall. The nurses and patients began to move out of his way. Dr. Calman was a well known doctor in Germany. He had studdied medicine and health care and many other medical things for over fifty years, and had excelled from the start. his passion for the well being of people and the care for health had driven him through colleges, universities, and academies for a long time. Many teachers and doctors and scientists had taken great notice of his talent. All of his youth years were spent engrossing himself in the art of the medical field, and not a single one was wasted for so much as a minute. He had a goal, and he was one of few who had achieved it. His entire life was given to people who needed ones like him. But nothing could have prepared him for what he'd been told, or what he was about to be told. He arrived at the place where he recieved the call from Dr. Eichmann. It was a high security ER station, specifically designed to hold patients that were 'Out of control' or 'dangerous'. Normally they didn't use it, since they always had the man power and the strength to keep frantic patients in good behavior. But things always tend to get worse. He arrived at the sealed door leading to the HSER. He swiped a security clearance card through a box on the side of the door. It beeped, accepting him in, and the doors slid aside. He went down two halls, searching for the observitory room. Once again he had to swipe another card to get in. the room was large and had a five inch thick bullet proof glass window that stretched the entire length. Like the others, the room was white, and had various monitors and tables laying about it. Dr. Calman spotted the three German doctors standing in front of the glass. One of them turned to him, and gestured him forward. "Wir habe eine-" Calman held up his hand. "English, if you please" "We have a bad situation" Dr. Eichmann said. The man was rather short for a German, and much reminded him of Einstein, what with his long gray hair and mustache. His facial features looked very troubled. Calman looked through the window. What he saw cut him to the heart. "What's wrong with him?" he asked. "We don't know" Eichmann answered, "we can't stabilize him, nor can we even get close enough to get ahold of him. He seems to have taken to rational behavior. Biting, clawing, kicking. He's basically out of his mind." Calman could tell that much. He watched as what looked like a young boy of only 15 was practically throwing himself all over the room, screaming and knashing his teeth at the four male nurses who surrounded him, attempting to get him into a straight jacket. "Is it rabies?" Calman asked. "No, we managed to get a blood sample, and have found many questions without answers. He's been this way nonstop, and we found that those whom he had bitten, are in the same condition. Erratic. we have found that he came in only a few minutes ago, and was brought from the east side of Berlin. His mother said he had been in a strange sickness for a day or two, which she had mistaken for Influenza. After he had attacked several people. She brought him here in hopes of us controlling him." "Did you identify the sample?" "Yes we have" Eichmann pulled a piece of paper from his pocket. Calman looked it over. He read the text, but one major word caught his eye. He had heard of many things like it before, but had never expected it to happen like this, not here. He stared at the text. T600. Code name: Demon Juice "You said there are more in the same condition?" "Ja, ten at least" "Keep them contained, and wear protective masks and clothing whenever you're around them" "What?" "We don't know what this stuff can do. But it looks like it spreads quickly." At that Calman turned and headed for the door. He had to notify poison control. They could not let Berlin fall to this. 1:38 PM, Saturday 11 July 2009 .. Posted in My Crazy LIFE! .. 5 comments .. Link I am so sorry for ignoring this blog...dear Jocelyn reminded me that even though I'm busy I should still find some time to update ya'll!! ^_^ So....last post was about dear baby Jonathan's death. The W kids are doing good but the parents are still struggling with "why would a loving God let this happen" type of thing. Which is totally understandable since I thought the same thing for MONTHS after Isaiah Daniel died. Speaking of babies and Isaiah, July 9th marked one full year since the day we found out mom was pregnant. It's been one l-o-n-g, tough, emotional year full of struggling. Dad was out of work for 6 months, mom had a whole bunch of health problems while we were all struggling with Isaiah's death. One year of painful but never the less beautiful memories that I'll never forget. Continue to keep my family in your prayers. My dad's book and our ministries (ConsiderHisWays and Pure Little Ladies Ministry) aren't coming along as fast as we'd like, but its all in God's timing. I'd really love to get a laptop to help out with all the computer things that we need to do instead of our failing desktop, but again, that's also in God's timing. We were sooo blessed to travel to Indiana to meet the Dixons (along with meeting the Lirettes and Seven Sisters), their family was such a blessing and came at such a perfect time in our lives to encourage us. Most of the people that come to CHW were told to come by the Dixons. -_^ Thank you, thank you, thank you!! You are such a blessing to us and we hope to be able to get together again soon...it was such a wonderful time of fellowship and restful "Shabbating" as my dad would call it. =P lol My sister and my two nieces are here for about two weeks...so we're busybusybusy!! It's been fun though. Please pray for me....I've been having some health problems and so far none of the bloodwork is showing anything (which could be a good thing I suppose). I'm also getting all 4 of my wisdom teeth taken out on July 15 early in the morning....I've never had surgery or been "put out" before and I'm nervous, prayers would be appreciated!! Shabbat Shalom, Miss Toria Long time no seeHey people!I know what you're thinking....I haven't posted in a loooooong time, but here I am! I know it my blog can get kind of boring with any later updates, so if anyone's out there, please leave a comment! Forerunner A sabbath prayer.Hey friends!!! Here is a prayer that we say on the sabbath, at our fellowship. I thought you guys might be interested in it. How goodly your tents O Jacob; your habitations O Israel As for me, in the abundance of your loving- kindness, I will come into Your house. I will worship toward Your holy Temple in awe of You. O Lord I love to be in Your presence, in the place where Your glory dwells. As for me, I will worship You in humility; I will bend my knee before You, O Lord, my Maker. I offer my prayer to You, O Lord, at a time of grace. O God, in the abundance of your loving- kindness, answer me with the truth of Your salvation. -- Shema 'Here Oh Israel' Shema Yisra'el, ADONAI eloheinu, ADONAI echad. Baruch shem kevod malchuto le'olam va'ed. (in English) Here, O Israel! The Lord is our God; the Lord is One. Blessed is the name of the Glory of His Kingdom forever and ever. There is a lot more to the prayer but I don't have time to put it up right now. That's me!
