Sep. 4, 2007 - revolutionary war lapbook
We spent the last year studying colonial America and the revolutionary war so at the end of the year we started a lapbook on the revolutionary war. I gave ds some general direction and he took it from there. He prefers to draw his own pictures and stuff for the front of the books.
Here is the book closed.

opened to the first page...

and with the middle flap up....

I had found cool pictures for all the covers but he used those for background decoration and
drew his own pictures for the fronts....

(all photos by ds - creator of lapbook)
It was a fun way to recap our year.

| I saw your post on Yahoo lapbooking group! He did a great job! My daughter generally likes to draw her own illustrations too. But then again, she loves searching for images on the computer herself! I guess that as long as she's in control, that's what she likes. :-) We'll be starting US History in Jan. once I bring back new materials. I"m excited for a change of curriculum and topic (switching from SL to Winter Promise). If you will blog more about lapbooks, please consider joining the blog ring in my sidebar! :-) |
