Sep. 5, 2007 - Happy Birthday baby boy!
My baby boy was born 4 years ago today at approximately 2 in the afternoon. Why approximately you ask???
This should explain that part.
That is also another reason NOT to trust your local media. We did not pull over, call 911 and the paramedics arrive just in time. He came out (in the back seat of the van!) while hubby was still driving, caught by the friend on the interview. We flagged down a passing ambulance (as hubby is yelling should I stop or keep going???) and he helped with the "clean up". But yes, they did transport me to the hospital (which we were only 4 miles away from!!) (and which cost about $500!!) They did get our names right, I give them that. And they sent us a free copy of the broadcast. That was nice.
oh, and to explain how we ended up on the local 6 and 11pm news, the ambulance we flagged down had a passenger so they had to call for another. When the other arrived (with the firetruck) the news guy must have been trolling and heard about the call on his radio. He arrived too. We were shocked to see a guy with a huge camera filming us!!
So baby boy, who is a character and I frequently say if he was our first born he would have been an only child, happy 4th birthday. You bring joy and laughter to our family.

I just discovered the TOG blog ring and decided to check them out! We're using TOG Yr 1.
My 2nd dd was born at home about 30 minutes before the midwife arrived. No reporters! :)

Wow, what an amazing birth story! Your little guy is a real cutie. We have a just turned 5 year old boy, and I just LOVE that age! I came to your blog through the new TOG blogring. I am "journeyingwithjoy". I am enjoying your blog!
