Abandoned to His Will...finding the Heart of God

Feb. 22, 2007 - The B-Files: Revisited

Its been so long since I've blogged that I had to go read my blog to see what I was last talking about. Some of you are so incredibly consistent in keeping up with blogging, but I tend to go in waves. I'd like to be more consistent in EVERY area of my life...except any bad parts. Like I don't want to consistenly stay up too late or let my mind wander into the imaginary world when I pray. Please tell me that your minds wander sometimes, too.

I am enjoying a nice and quiet afternoon. I don't do that often. If it is quiet I'm usually napping with the kids. It is rare that they ALL sleep and I stay awake to do stuff. My dishes are done, my laundry caught up, and my house tidy. My Dyson inspires me to keep things tidy. I hope the novelty of it doesn't wear off, though. Then what?

So, on to the B-Files! I've finally started creating a beautiful home management binder. I love lists, I need lists, I need a routine. I had been using a quite functional binder with a zipper and pockets, but I wasn't actually using it. It was mostly just storing papers. I never opened it. I didn't like it being out on my island. I realized that I needed to have a pretty one. Now, there was no way to make that one pretty so I braved the elements of my garage and pulled out a heavy duty 3", 3 ring binder. Its white with the clear pockets on front. Then I donned on my scrapbooking hat and pulled out paper, stickers, scissors, and more paper to create  beautiful covers and spine insert. Then I found my dividers and page protectors. However, I had a problem. When its all put together the page protectors stick out farther than the dividers. Bummer. So then I donned on my thinking cap. I decided to cut a slit in the page protector where the tab on a divider would stick out and viola! It worked beautifully. I've typed out my daily routines and will be daily adding to my binder. I am also well aware that I will have to tweak my routine before finding a way for it to work effectively for my family. I'm hoping it will spur me on when I have those days where I can't find my thinking cap.

Now, I must put on my working cap. I have a list and I need to work through it!

Can you make me one of those too? Complete with the lists?
And I think it's high time you don your "going to Beca's house" hat!
