Flashback Friday: Easter Bunnies
Posted in Flashback Fridays
|
Folks, this Flashback Friday is going to be short and sweet. I mentioned that in an earlier post that I was sick over the weekend. Well, on Wednesday evening, Harrison came down with a nasty stomach virus, and he and I were up until 4am Thursday morning. I have been feeling light-headed and fuzzy all day from lack of sleep. I went to Wal-mart tonight to buy things for my Easter dinner, I forgot my list, and then wandered the aisles in a drunken-like stupor. I finally just bought 3 bags of Easter candy, bananas and a cake mix and left the store. No breakthroughs from this illness, except as an observer and bystander, I just noted that it's amazing how much vomit can come forth from such a little person. And now, on with the flashback...

Debbles and I on Easter of 1987, I believe. I was in 9th grade. I'm not sure if both of the bunnies were Debbles' or if the big one was actually mine. I don't remember ever owning such a big bunny, but you never know. Perhaps Debbles might chime in on the comments and shed some light on the subject because I'm sure your weekend will just be positively ruined if we can't sort this bunny mystery out.
While bunnies are cute and cuddly, and chocolate is yummy, make sure you take time this weekend to reflect on the somber and then victorious reasons that we, as Christians, have to celebrate. Christ is risen! He is risen, indeed!
Please join me in flashing back whenever you'd like. Leave a link here, so everyone can come join you! Thanks....

Very nice picture. My mom has all of my old pictures, or I'd try to participate once in awhile. :-) I agree with you about AI. I was surprised that you think Brooke is better than Carly. I do, but my mom swears by Carly. How can she be an American Idol when she is not even American?
Have a great weekend.

That's dedication - posting a blog entry on so little sleep. I hope Harrison is feeling better. Abigail is still giving me "presents" from her turn with the stomach flu, and now Lee and Lydia might have strep!! Can I go hide in a hole somewhere?
Happy Easter to your family.

Sorry. I'm no help with the Bunny mystery. I have no memories of owning a bunny that large. But if it was yours, how come you got the ginormous bunny and mine is teeny tiny?

I was lying in bed last night thinking about that big bunny, which was amazing considering how tired I was. I think my boyfriend at the time, Chris, gave it to me. That would explain why mine is so much bigger, and why I was even getting a bunny at 14 years of age. Whew...I feel better now.

It makes me smile to see a picture of 1987...Kind of brings back warm fuzzy memories.... The picture is cute...You do have a beautiful face (everything else is obscured by the 80's dress and bunny...so don't go there):
Sorry about the stomach bug and the lack of sleep. Hope you all fare better soon.
Warmly,
Lori

Mar. 22, 2008 - 9th grade...

At first I was thinking, "Is she sure about the 9th grade?" Patrick & I got engaged Easter 1987 and were married that June. You are Damon are only 4 years behind us, right? So it seemed to me that you would have to be a high school sophomore. Then I started thinking more about that and realized that you were probably right. Four years later would have been the first year of college, when you were married. Wow...
Love you!

I don't know how old you are now, but I sure wish I resembled some of my high school pictures as much as YOU do! *lol*
Great flashback.
Sorry about the sickness. I'm home from serving on the worship team today because of my son's "yuck" that got a little worse this morning. :'(
We all need God to heal us this weekend!

Hi Kellie Ann!
I hope you are finally feeling better.
And I love the hairdo! I think every friend I knew, including me, had the same one.

So glad you got the bunny mystery solved! And I'm glad I'm not the only one who stays awake mulling these things. =P

I hope y'all are starting to feel better. I dreamed about you two different nights. Can you believe it? You must be making an impression on me with your stories! ;)
Blessings,
