My Birthday and a Costume Idea

OK...so I turned 36 yesterday. But I don't really want to talk about that.
What I do want to talk about is how great my family is and how they made my day so nice. First, Big D, even though it was a Sunday, and we're always rushed on Sundays because Big D makes coffee for the whole church,...don't worry, it's a small church....made me a special breakfast omelet. It was yummy! He then arranged for someone to arrive at our youth Sunday school class that we teach (well, this was our last Sunday...but that's another story) with two dozen Krispy Kreme doughnuts. Double yummy! Then they took me to a Mexican restaurant for lunch...not that I was hungry or anything.
But here's the best part! We went to Costco to get this....

Does that totally ROCK or what?!? (Sorry...couldn't help the bad pun.) Seriously, I am soooo excited about this because I realized several weeks ago that we were fresh out of rocking chairs around here, and with a newborn on the way, that just won't do.
While we were at Costco, we also picked up one of their amazing pumpkin cheesecakes for dessert that night.

Oh, good grief. How I wish we had just photographed the cake. What in the world is a majorly pregnant woman doing wearing a tee-shirt emblazoned with a slogan for an Irish pub? Why in the world is my kinky, curly hair piled in a mess on top of my head? And why in the world is my sunglasses tan line so visible? Why in the world???
One last thing...
Halloween, in case you didn't know, is just around the corner, and Harrison came up with a good idea for a last minute costume while eating in the Mexican restaurant...

It kind of reminds me of Jason from the Friday the 13th franchise. It also reminds me a little of this guy from the "Fat Albert" cartoons...

Or you could just call yourself Tortilla Man and call it a day. Either way, here are Harrison's 30 second instructions on how to make your own mask...
You might want to be careful of large flocks of hungry birds. I think pigeons could be a particular problem. That could get really ugly.

I think Benjamin will have to try out that costume. He has a new super hero he made up: Super Fast Tortilla. You'll have to hear him say it. It's hysterical!
The cheese cake looks yummy. I made pumpkin chocolate chip muffins today from the recipe you gave me. I love pumpkin!

I am glad you had a great birthday. I love Costco. I was there yesterday, just to get milk, with the multitudes of Sunday shoppers. Of course we had to have lunch at the snack bar first. I will look for the pumpkin cheesecake. We had one of those huge chocolate cakes last night at small group. Oh, man! That is chocolate heaven.

How nice of your husband. Love the new rocker. Oooo...that cheesecake looked so yummy. Interesting costume idea. I can imagine what he would have come up with if he had crunchy tacos. LOL
Birthday blessings for years to come.

Happy Birthday! Pumpkin cheesecake sounds very yummy.
That guy from Fat Albert always fascinated me as a child. I thought he had a wad of chewing gum stuck on his head.

Happy late Birthday! It sounds as though you had a good one, it is so nice to get that treatment once and a while. And the chair is great, I wanted to get rid of my rocker last summer and my husband said a big fat no and I am now glad he did!! Enjoy these last few weeks!!

Well Happy Birthday! And yum on the cheesecake.
My bday was back in August and I'm still waiting on my promised cheesecake (lemon raspberry from cheesecake factory.)
First it was held up because dh had to lose weight due to his promotion. Since his bday is the day after mine, I agreed. Now he can't gain any weight til after his physical readiness test. So I'm still waiting.

That cheesecake looks yummy! And I love the rocking chair! I have an eleven year old glider with the matching footstool. It needs to be recovered...badly! But it still does the job!
Thanks for the info on boxers. We might adopt one, if we cam find one or go to a breeder. I'd rather get an older one, because I've been the one to get up at night with our babies and I don't want to be the one doing it if we get a puppy!
Anyhow, the reason I put so much into my birth story is because it's fresh in my mind. If it was from one of my other babies, it would probably be considerably shorter!
Hope you're feeling well!

Happy Birthday! Krispy Kremes - ohhh, I'm drooling. What a nice rocking chair, too. Very pretty.
BTW, what happened to Arby? I just went to his site and his blog is not there.??
