Oct. 11, 2007 - Look Who's Here!

Hope arrived at 3:42 a.m.

October 11th

7 lbs. 8 ounces

19 inches

Blonde curly hair, baby blue eyes

Absolutely beautiful and healthy

My labor began in earnest around 5:00 p.m.  We stayed home until the ctxs were 3 to 4 mins apart, then headed to the hospital.  I was still just a 3 to 4 cm when we arrived (boo, hoo), but definately in active labor.  I had a wonderful nurse who has been in Labor and Delivery for 30 years.  I was able to sleep (kinda) in between most of the contractions.

.

I also got to spend some time in the jacuzzi tub (ahhhhhhhh!)

Pushing went very quickly and she was out in one and half pushes.

The cord was wrapped loosely around her neck , but didn't appear to be a problem.  She was very, very active through the whole labor!

Overall, this was my best labor, no tears or skid marks, etc.

I appreciate all of your prayers....i could feel them surrounding me.

Please Share a Thought!

Praise the Lord for a healthy baby girl! So good to hear of Hope's arrival and the better labor you had with her. She is so beautiful!
A friend of mine delivered her baby a day before you did and after holding him I can't tell you how I long to hold my own. Only 21 more days! I'll continue to pray for you as you go home and start adjusting to a new "normal". -- Amy
