"It is only by introducing the young
to great literature, drama, and music,
and to the excitement
of great science,
that we open to them
the possibilities
that lie within the human spirit--
enable them to see visions
and dream dreams."

May. 13, 2008 - My Magnificent Man
Dearest "Rick,"
Yes, i really do think you are magnificent. You do so much around here to keep things going. Thank you so much for removing those two trees the other day. We are one step closer to our goal! I appreciate your vision and willingness to tackle such a mammoth project as we have undertaken in the backyard.
I'm sorry that you caught my cold. You were so sweet to stay home Thursday when i was so sick with it and utterly miserable. Now you have it and i know you don't feel well, but off to work you go to provide for our family. Thank you for your sacrifice.
And thank you for your consideration of my pleasures. What God created for us to share as husband and wife brings inexpressible joy and reduces me to tears of awe that our Creator would share such a beautiful gift with us. Thank you for the intimate gift you share with me and for taking the time and attention to make it a beautiful experience for both of us. No, it's not always that way, but i'm still in the afterglow of last night.
We sure did make our mistakes in the beginning, the both of us. Who knew that after 15 years it could only be better?! It is a mystery and i am utterly grateful to God for putting the passion back into our marriage after some rough years. I'm glad we made it through!
Thank you, Rick, for sticking with me through the thick and thin of our years together and for working so hard this past year to make things better between us.
