"It is only by introducing the young
to great literature, drama, and music,
and to the excitement
of great science,
that we open to them
the possibilities
that lie within the human spirit--
enable them to see visions
and dream dreams."

"We wish you PEACE
It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble, or hard work.
It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart."

"Cleaning and scrubbing
can wait 'til tomorrow.
For babies grow up,
we learn to our sorrow.
So quiet down cobwebs!
Dust, go to sleep!
I'm rocking my baby,
and babies don't keep!"

Oct. 5, 2009 - Because You Asked.........
Julia asked about my camera and such. I use a Canon Rebel XT that my husband got for me three years ago for Mother's Day. It is the best Mother's Day gift I've ever received.
I don't have any special lenses or lighting or such. Photography is mostly about light, though, and I am blessed to have a sunroom in the house with awesome light. The photos at the park were taken near dusk, so there was some good light out there. I do sometimes use a foil sunshade (for the car windshield) to reflect light onto faces if we need a bit of help in the lighting dept.
What I like about this one is that he is talking. That is him. He talks a LOT!
He has many stories to share.
I am still learning to use my camera and mostly just try to get by with what is around me and plan "photo shoots" for when the light is good early morning or very late afternoon.
And, Julia, if you really want a Moby Wrap I'd suggest watching eBay. I've seen some good prices on there for them. I love my Moby!
