What the robot will do

The robot needs to get at least one of the white bricks off of the table without knocking a red one off.  We get more points if we get 3 white ones off of the table without knocking off any reds.

This is a bone.  The robots has to put a small ball in the yellow and red area.

This is an elevator.  The robots has to get the guy on the bottom to move to the top.  To do this, we need to push in the red arm and the team on the next table needs to push their red arm in too.

Nano tip.  Robot has to seperate the magnets at the end of the arm.  These magnets are really strong.

On this we have to have the robot put one of the yellow pieces into the black square.

On this challenge, the robot pushes the truck onto the lift we get some points.  We get more points if we get the lift off of the ground with the truck on it.

The two versions

These are picutes of the NXT (left) and RCX (right).

The NXT has 3 motors and 4 sensors.  The sensors are for light, touch, sound and distance.

The RCX has 3 motors and 3 sensors.  The sensors are for rotation, light, and touch.

Spike

This is Spike, the Lego Scorpion.  His tail can really extend and smack people if you program him to do that.  He walks too.  He is also made with the NXT version of Lego Mindstorm.

alpha rex

This is the mighty NXT Alpha Rex.  The hardest NTX creation to build from the set's instructions.  This is the robot that I have at my house but we are using the RCX for our team this year.
