New House

We are building our new house on the word of the Lord, literally and figuratively. Once the framing went up we grabbed our Bibles and started writing. Everyone wrote their favorite passages in the rooms that were appropriate to them. We wrote on the floor boards and the 2x4's, with perminant marker in hand, if it was smooth enough, we wrote upon it! Well, the dry wall is up and the paint is on but we still know what strenght the words below provide. He is our foundation and we will stand strong. We actually designed our house with an archetechict and it is so cool to watch the one demintional line come to life in 3-D with the walls going up. Now we are at the stage of decision, decision, decision! What color, what shape, what size! Stressful and fun all rolled into one. Kind of like eating chocolate!

A new house? WOW, that's so neat, I hope everything goes well, and you make those decisions (I agree with you about the chocolate, it is so hard to decide sometimes:-). I'll continue to pray for your kids.

A friend of mine did the same thing when they remodeled their home... His Word on the doorframes and walls. What a great idea! :)

What a great, fun, idea! I don't know if I'd ever want to have a house built (too many decisions for me) but if I did...

That is so cool! I love that idea, I doubt I'll ever actually build a house, but if we ever do I want to remember that great suggestion! We've been talking about a little remodeling in the next year or two (or three...) maybe we'll try it then!

Hey, Thats great! There's no better way to teach you Dc's how to stand on the promises of God than this. There's no better way to build a house than to build it with the Word of God. This makes for a strong home, physically,mentally & spiritually. I love it!

We are having a house built also and we are writing verses on our house too! We wanted the house to be blessed from the ground up before we even move in. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought of this.

What a truly wonderful opportunity. And to know the Word of God will be there now, permanently! We are in a wonderful 100 year old house and I can only imagine what things this home has seen. What a great way to teach your children to stand on the Word of God. So few people have such an opportunity, I am really thrilled that you held onto it!!

I know that I have said it before, but I love your template. It is soo beautiful.
I hope your house purchasing is smooth and easy. It is so wonderful that you are able to do that. How wonderful.
It is great that you are doing a marriage conference. My husband and I have always enjoyed the ones that we go to. I think every couple should go. It really is great for a marriage. I am glad that you are helping the body of Christ in this way.
