Nov. 7, 2007 - Oh ME of Little Faith

A few months ago a wrote about my oldest daughter's upcoming wedding and shared my serious concerns about it.  You all were so encouraging in your comments and emails.  A few days later I took your suggestions to share my feelings with her, in the form of a letter.

Other than telling me she got my "note", Kelly never mentioned it again.  Wedding plans moved forward.  Here it is less than 30 days before the big day ... I begin to see that God is not going to change Kelly's heart.  And her fiance is still breathing.  (Just kidding.  Well, not really.  About the breathing part.  I mean I want him to breathe ... oh never mind! LOL).  God is not going to be answering my prayers this time ... at least not the way I want Him to.

Oh me of little faith.

Sunday night Kelly called to tell us that the wedding has been postponed indefinitely!!  She shared that between my letter and the conversations with two friends (one is her matron of honor -- a very godly young woman, the other is unsaved!), she just doesn't have peace about making a lifetime comittment to Sako yet.  PRAISE THE LORD!!!!

Thank you dear sisters in Christ for standing with us in prayer against the devil's lies.  As you think of it, please continue to bathe Kelly in prayer, that God would show her His perfect will.

.....this is WONDERFUL news. I was reading through your post and feeling so down for and with you, when I got to the part where she's actually postponing the wedding. Yeah! What an awesome testimony of the power of prayer.

Hi, I have no idea how you came by my blog, but I'm glad you did because I have been blessed by coming over to read yours. I'm so glad that your daughter listened to the voices of reason.

I've read most of your blog this evening. God bless you for taking in the "littles" - sounds like they needed a stable home.

Our lives sound alot alike really. Kids in two distinct age groups - but now you've gone and added a third!!!!!

I am leaping and Jumping and praising God!!!!!

How faithful He is to our hearts' cries and how blessed she is to have a mommie that prays! May she come to a full understanding of God's command, not suggestion, about not being unequally yoked. It is solely because of His love for us and to spare her from heart ache unimaginable.

Glory to God for His amazing Grace!

Because of Jesus, Bobbie
