Nov. 22, 2007 - Do You Know Where YOUR Family Is?!
It's 11:59 p.m. .... and you'll never believe where MY family is! They are in line outside of Best Buy!! It is 27 degrees people! The wind chill is 19 degrees!! But oh they are having FUN. LOL!! My dh and 4 of our children, along with 2 of their cousins are bundled up and sitting in lawn chairs waiting for the doors to open at 5am. They got their about 8:30 and there are SIXTY people ahead of them! Hubby just called a few minutes ago to report that there are about 80 people now behind them. Oh the adventure of Black Friday Sales!!!
We passed the Best Buy in our town earlier today and saw a bunch of people in lawn chairs on the sidewalk. It was about 5 in the evening and we knew the store was not open. There must be something really good at an insanely cheap price for that many people to be camping out at Best Buy. I hope they don't freeze tonight, and they get what they are after in the morning! It's unbelievable to me that stores are opening at 4am tomorrow morning. I won't even be dreaming of being there LOL! Best of luck to your family!
My daughter picked me up at 3 am to go shopping. It is a family tradition. We laugh and smile and greet everyone, Say Merry Christmas to everybody and manager to get Chanukah and Christmas for seven grandchildren!
We also pack leftover snacks to keep our energy up!
I am a Christian wife and homeschooling mother to 6 beautiful children ... 11, 12, 16, 18, 26, and 28. Yes, we had them in sets of two!! We are homeschooling the youngest 4, the 5th just moved back home for a spell, and the sixth is getting married in November.
We also raise Pomeranian and Shih-Tzu puppies. I love reading mysteries, crocheting, scrapbooking, and reading other like-minded blogs. :o)
