Nov. 6, 2008 - What He/She Said ... #9 - Post-Election Edition

There is so much I could say about this election season and its' results ... however, so many people have said it so much better than I ever could!  I would encourage you to take a few minutes to read thru these posts.  Be encouraged, be challenged, be proud to be an American!  Above all, remember God is STILL God.  :o)

• Mike Huckabee encourages us We Will Be Back In Strength.
• Robin is my friend in real life (how cool is that?!) and she has written a wonderful post reminding us that God has a plan -- for us!
• Another person I know in real life is Jennifer.  She shares how the election results affected both her and her children.
• Yet another Michigan Momma (sadly though, I don't know her in real life), talks about how this election has spurred her on to be a light to the world.
• MinTheGap tells us that graciousness does not equal agreement! 

"The office of President of the United States demands a good deal of respect.  The occupant thereof deserves respect as well.  Part of the problem of the last few years has been that there has been little to no respect for the office or its current holder.

That being said, we have a Democratic Republic, not a Monarchy.  President-Elect Obama will not be king, but President.  And in this country is not wrong to state our disagreements with his policies or actions as long as it is done in a respectful way."

I could go on forever ... there are seriously hundreds of extremely passionate, well-written articles concerning the election outcome.  But since you've probably -- you know -- got a life (!), I'll leave you with just one more ...

• Dr. Barrett L. Mossbacker suggests that we have a wonderful opportunity to bear a great testimony to the transforming power of the Gospel in how we respond to this election.  A definite must-read.
