Dec. 8, 2008 - School?
This IS a homeschool blog, right? LOL! You wouldn't know it lately, would you? I thought it might be nice if I talked a bit about school this morning. Ahem.
We spent the month of October immersed in all things political. We learned about our election process in living color! The kids learned about the issues, the people, and the media. Our Friday co-op focused heavily on the campaigns.
November saw us easing back into a somewhat "normal" schedule (whatever that is!). Back to math facts, spelling words and creative writing. Our days are pretty relaxed lately. It seems to be working for us, with most of our "book learning" done before lunch.
Co-op is back on track now also. We are finishing up the New England and Mid-Atlantic region of the U.S. We'll be starting the southern region this Friday, complete with a watermelon seed spitting contest and a visit from Aunt Jemima!
Here's some pictures from last Friday's co-op ... whales, clapboard houses, lighthouses and pilgrims ... then some maple syrup candy making! Please observe my awesome picture-taking skillz. :o)

Please leave me your email or web address so I can "talk back" to your comments! :o)
