I think we will read this book next summer. I like how you post your read aloud on your blog. I may have to do that too. Right now we are reading Moccasin Trail. Thanks for stopping by and leaving the kind comments. My kids are 10, 9, and 6 (7 in October).

I'm not familiar with this book, but it's great that your husband wants to be included! We are currently reading My Side Of The Mountain by Jean Craighead Geaorge, as our read aloud book... so great and filled with nature. All three kiddos are truly enjoying it. I found the DVD at the library and we will watch it when we're done with the book.
Blessings, Julie
You are amazing! Your children's nature books are going to be beautiful and wonderful to look back upon some day. I have always wanted to do nature books better than we have...of course I started CM way too late. This year, I have set aside Fridays...to go out and about and relax and draw and research...I am so hoping that we will have a good time with it. Then when it is freezing and snowing, I bought an Audubon book for us to copy out of. I do enjoy visiting your blog.
