My Journey Toward A Trusting Heart

New Books!

Hi all...

I've been a slug this week; and doubting any value to contributing anything here...who is reading this? It sort of feels like I'm talking to myself. Am I?

Just in case there IS someone out there, I have to tell you about this awesome new author I've found....well, she's been at it for a long time, but I've just "found" her and am enthused to pass her along to you.

Her name is BRANDILYN COLLINS. She writes suspense novels for Zondervan...you HAVE to read these books. I picked one up at the suggestion of a friend who knows her, and from the first few minutes, I was hooked!!

In fact, so hooked that I have read "5" books in about a week!! The first 4 are from the "Hidden Faces" series...featuring "Annie Kingston" as the main character. They are all page-turners. And honestly, if "I" were Annie, I'd be in the loony bin. The stories are just riveting...and the underlying theme is the power of prayer, and the ultimate power of God to protect and overcome evil.

I'm telling you, if you enjoy suspense, you'll LOVE these stories. They do not have to be read in succession. They each can stand alone, but you'll have more history on the characters if you start with the first one: BRINK OF DEATH; #2 is "Stain of Guilt"; #3 "Dead of Night" and #4 "Web of Lies" --

In the 4th one, she brings together Annie and a lead character in another series, Chelsea Adams. At Brandilyn's urging, I quickly gobbled the first of the Chelsea stories, "Eyes of Elisha."  So it was neat to get a little character background on Chelsea as she was united with Annie in a can't-put-it-down story.

Anyway, I wanted to encourage you all to take some time for some good fiction. I don't do it often, but I'm soooooo glad I took time for this.

BTW, I did drop Mrs. Collins a note about the books, and that she has a new fan. SHE WROTE ME BACK!! We've had a cheery exchange via email and I'm adding my name to her Fan Club! That's been fun.

I also should say that I've restricted myself for the time being...I simply cannot do any more reading for a few days. Nothing else gets done, as you can imagine. Still, I enjoyed every minute of it and will be on the edge of my seat for the next one!

On another note...

I'm going to post Chapter 6 in The Story. then after that, I only have Chapter 7. I have started working on the next part, but have little time to think it through. So, on the assmption that it matters, I'll be putting together The Rest of The Story in the days ahead.

No more news for now.

Have a wonderful weekend!
