Blessings!
I just needed to write to testify of God's continual faithfulness in our lives! My husband left his job of seventeen years this month to work closer to home in my father's business( which we will eventually take over). God's timing is so perfect. We were able to drastically reduce our debt because my husband was able to take the company buyout and we are provided with insurance for a year, which was an answer to prayer for sure. God has also just given us such sweet time together as a family these past few weeks, from a great mountain vacation to unhurried morning devotions with dad to movies and games in the evening. I just want to give my Lord all the praise for helping us to remain focused on the goal of raising up arrows for His service, and for His continual presence in our Lives, always caring for our every need. |

Starting a new year!
|
This is my very first blogging experience, and I thought I would share my anticipation ( and my fears !) for the upcoming school year. Our homeschool journey has been a bit of a roller coaster ride since we began. I am overjoyed to have my kids at home where they belong, and I am blessed to have such great kids. God is continuing to grow us every day, and I know He will continue to do so in the upcoming year. The kids are excited to begin their Sonlight Curriculum 3 and a new art program. I am currently working on my daily schedule. Last year I implemented a schedule after reading Managers of Their Homes by Teri Maxwell and it went very well. Everything didn't go perfectly as those unexpected things always come up, but we had a plan and a goal for each day, and it was easy to jump back on track when life got a little crazy. If you've never read Maxwell's book I HIGHLY recommend it! My fears for this year are probably the same ones that plague us all. What if we don't accomplish what we "should" this year? Or what if I can't reach this child in this subject? I know that only God can help me succeed in this calling, and I find after having the kids at home for a few years now, I'm coming to rest in the fact that ONLY He can give me the strength, wisdom, patience, and vision to fulfill my role. What a mighty God we serve, whose resources are limitless! My prayer for this new year is to moment by moment draw upon Him to raise up mighty arrows for His Glory! |
