What is going on in our world?
Does the news even shock you any more. It seems that there is so much evil penetrating the world today that nothing seems to far out, politacally, socially, or even religiously. Satan tries very hard to discourage God's children through the media dwelling on the negative in this fast pace world. But as we know we must remember to set our sights on things above. Below is a newsletter from All The Good News Of Bible Prophecy. I hope you enjoy it and be sure and check out their link at the bottom.

Dear Friends,
Our world is being radically altered on all fronts. New political, economic, and social transformations seem to be regular occurrences, both abroad and at home. What will tomorrow bring? Where does one turn for guidance and direction? How can we set our bearings straight in such a changing society?
Without question we are living in distressing times. A casual flip through the newspaper or an hour watching the evening news offers us a daily glimpse into how our world is careening out of control. Even this small window, this glimpse into the bigger picture, can be enough to strike fear into the hearts of men. However, as tempestuous as our current state can be, there is a true safe-harbor for the weary soul.
Given the tensions over the Middle East, the race towards global governance, The revival of the old Roman Empire and the advancement of a “new world or one world religion”, it causes us to reflect; “How long will the Lord tarry”?
Dear Christian, it is imperative that we “know the Signs Of The Times” and are equipped, through God’s Word, to reach out to a lost and dying world. Spiritual discernment, wisdom, and boldness are urgently needed – with a sure grounding in God’s Truth – so that we can stand firm in the faith.
Today, more than ever, Christians need to hold to the words of 1 Peter 3:15; “But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you, a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear.”
While we do not know the immediate future, there are some things about the long term that are very clear in God’s Word. We have read the historical Biblical account and through this we have witnessed the prophetic fulfillment of Scripture. Knowing that God has kept his promises in the past, we can depend on Him to keep those promises which have yet to be fulfilled.
Our Lord Jesus Christ said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6).
He also warned us to “Take heed that no man deceive you” (Matthew 24:4) and that He will come “as a thief in the night” (2 Peter 3:10).
As our society seeks to embrace a new global civilization built on man’s utopian dreams, which will inevitably display itself as a nightmare, how are we to respond?
With confession: understanding that we are saved through God’s abounding grace.
With compassion: knowing that multitudes are dying without the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
With conviction: solidly standing on God’s Truth with the realization that our time is short.
And with comfort: knowing that our Lord Jesus Christ is coming as He promised, and that He is our strength and Savior.
So join us at All The Good News OF Bible Prophecy and World Events and Prophetic Trends News Net as we explore God’s Word, written by the one who never fails, never flounders, and always prevails – the Creator of Heaven and Earth, the King of Kings and LORD of Lords!
Join us in Bible Study, in Prayer, and in Fellowship, as we go into the Scriptures daily to be convicted, challenged, and equipped as Ambassadors for Jesus Christ.
Maranatha, the LORD is coming Soon!
Sincerely,
Pastor Dale Morgan

What I have been reading
Here is a great site for bible studies. The author Arnold Fruchtenbaum has extensive knowledge of the Scriptures. His knowledge of Hebrew, Greek, the Talmud, the history of the Jews, and the geography of Eretz Israel brings great depths to his studies.
