I am so proud of my Daughter and her quilting skills.
Most adult quilters wouldn't take the "Lone Star" challenge.
Off to the Largest Outdoor Quilt show in the WORLD!
Wow, what a trip.
Every boy and girl caught fish. We limited out a few days.
SideTrack Jack and his brother "Rubber Ducky" were excellent guides and spent the most quality time with Dilly, Dally and the Cousins.
The weather was perfect, although we did experience more bugs then ever.
Lots of bike rides, swims, and s'mores around the campfire.
Other than needing a new air mattress for Ma & Pa's tent, all went well.
No injuries other than some chapped lips and a sliver in the foot,
left over from the deck back home. This will be a summer to remember.
Taking the Nephews and Sidetrack Jack's Younger Brother and friend for a week in the woods.
We had visitors today from California stop in on their way to Newport on the coast.
So good to be with friends.
I think this is going to be the best summer I have had in a very long time.
We have boats, bikes, poles and a whole lot of energy packed and ready to do some serious memory making.
Oh, and here is the first mosquito bite of the summer.
I found this wonderful site just chock full of simple....I love that word, recipes for camping.
It also has some wonderful pictures of the B.W.C.A and is making me a bit lonesome for time spent at the end of the road called Ely, Minnesota.
If you plan on any camping this summer, I suggest peeking in and trying out some of these recipes.
I will be cooking trout (aka Mr. Laker) probably a lot in the next month or so.
They stocked our favorite lake, and we are heading up for some great memories with Sidetrack Jack's little brother and his girlfriend, along with my Nephews, who are thirteen and eleven.
I have a feeling it will be a some, some, summertime to remember!
It's Rodeo Time!
And I know this because it snowed last night.
And everyone knows it snows in June in these parts. So, why did I plant my tomatoes already?
