What do you think?
Show and Tell Friday is brought to you by CANADAGIRL.
I have five children, as you know. In truth, during every pregnancy I have longed for a dark-haired baby. When I was pregnant with my third son, (after having two pretty bald babies-son #1 and son #2) I even went so far as to buy a pure white outfit to put him in, just knowing that this son was going to have massive black hair and I thought that he would look striking in white with all that hair! Son #3 was born. He had a lot of hair, but blond! So much for that. (I fell in love with my blond baby just the same!)Then when I was pregnant with my first daughter, I thought "THIS baby is going to be my dark haired one!" Another blondie and a cutie at that. Okay. That didn't make any sense I thought! BOTH my husband and I are dark haired and dark eyed. WHERE are those genes for dark, massively thick hair that I inherited as a baby? Well, along came #5. I think at this point I had given up with the idea of a dark haired twin of myself. (rather vain I know) :) Well, daughter #2 was born and the second we saw her, my mother cries, "She has LOTS of dark hair!!!" Wow, a surprise! So what do you think, after five children, people say she looks just like me when I was baby. So what do y'all think? Is their any likeness? (Yes, mother, I am digging in the archives for that picture!) I guess everything goes to show, you just NEVER know what you are going to get!

I cannot believe you actually went through with it and posted that picture. Ah! The 70s! Yes, DD looks and ACTS just like you, dear daughter! It's scary. Makes a person believe there's something to all this clone technology. LOL

Hi!
Posted by TroopersForChrist
I've been talking to your mom and she said she was babysitting and from that she gave me your blog link. She told me you've been battling sickness for weeks on end. I can see you surely have!
From there I think I read your whole blog or all that shows on this page and enjoyed all the photos of your darling cupcakes! When you are all dressed (frosted) alike you do look like cupcakes. Very nice photos. Very beautiful and handsome family.
Sorry about Pickles. Glad to see a photo of him during
'the good ole days' further into the blog. Fish and a lizard to replace him, not bad, not bad.
Yes, wow, your baby girl with her dark hair and your baby photo are very much look alikes. Thanks for the look at your parents too. Hee, hee!
If you live where I 'think' you might we've been to that same ER one evening long ago when our son was 3. He is 15 now and probably would not like me to reveal his accident story here. "Aaaah, mom!!" We live in the same county.
I recall him at the Fred Meyer in a nearby town to you, some what like your 2.5 year old and her clothing at Costco. I don't know what planet that age brain comes or goes from but if they can embarrass you in public it shall be done. Thanks for reminding me of those memories that all too quickly pass.
Do get better and have a healthy Merry Christmas and New Year.
Marie
PS Your mom is a great blog mentor.
