Rick and Bubba's Guide to the Almost Nearly Perfect Marriage by Rick Burgess & Bill "Bubba" Bussey
"Marriage wasn't meant to be perfect. It was to teach us how to love an imperfect person perfectly. But before you start nodding at the "imperfect" description of your spouse, you need to know that it cuts both ways."

Rick and Bubba are the self-proclaimed two sexiest fat men in America. Why would they write a book about marriage? Because as married men, they've made a lot of mistakes. A lot of FUNNY mistakes. But they have gleaned wisdom from their mistakes. This book is the product of their mistakes. It includes many hilarious anecdotes along with practical advice.

While I could see that Rick and Bubba do have a heart for marriage, I wouldn't recommend this as a book on marriage. It is a collection of stories, very loosely joined together. I didn't find that the book flowed very well at all, but read like the transcript of a comedy routine. I did find many of the stories funny and in a very round-about-way it helped me with my marriage. Now I appreciate my husband even more that he's never done many of the silly things that these guys have done to their wives! Go to Thomas Nelson's product page for more reviews or to purchase Rick and Bubba's Guide to the Almost Nearly Perfect Marriage.
