Kids Choir Musical - POWER!
The children were all involved in the spring musical for the kids choir. RJ was not going to do it because he is in 7th grade now but the director asked him to do a specific part for her. They have been practicing since the beginning of the year and have all worked hard on their parts, learning songs and motions.
The musical was done on Mothers Day during our morning service at church. RJ had a main speaking part as a 'host' of the tv show 40/40 Power. Brandi was a 'field reporter' so had most of her parts pre-recorded and shown on the screen. It turned out excellent! Rachel got to do a dance part - which thrilled her!
It turned out really well and all the children in the musical did a wonderful job with their parts. Now we take a break then it will be time to start the Christmas musical before we know it! There has been some talk about a summer musical but I haven't heard any 'real' details on that yet! |

Ball Season is Around the Corner!
All three children will be playing ball this year. We will be in for one busy season!
RJ is playing with the same team he has been on the last two years. This will be his last year with them before he has to move up a league. He has really grown in his ability and team leadership over the last two years.
Brandi will be playing fast pitch softball! She is alittle nervous. She didn't play last year and when she played the year before it was coaches pitch so it is a whole new ball-game (HAHA). I hope she will enjoy it.
Rachel will be playing coaches pitch. She didn't play last year either but is excited to play this year. Next year I believe she will have to move up to regular fast pitch (not coaches pitch) but I am not sure.
Say a prayer for Mom and Dad as we juggle three practice schedules, three game schedules and try to balance all that as well as our normal life stuff! |

Teen Bible Quiz
Our final TBQ meet and we are all sick! Such a bummer! One of the other parents coached for me and the rest of the team did really well. We were disappointed to miss it but I am sure that everyone else on our team as well as the rest of the state appreciated us not going and making all of them sick! HA!
We will now take a short break and start up again in the summer/fall. Our new year will be over Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians and Philemon. It looks like we might have several teams this coming fall!! |

Fine Arts Night
| RJ is participating in Fine Arts this year. They have been practicing since October and have worked hard. RJ is in a drama (skit), a small human video and a large human video. We had Fine Arts night at church Sunday for all the students to do their stuff. This is the largest group we have taken with about 16 students and over 10 entried in the different categories. Each year they do all their entries at church before we go to the district event. This is RJ's first year doing it. What a great job he is doing! We are proud of him and all the teens in the church that are using their talents God has given them! |

JBQ Meet - Last season meet!
| Today was the last season meet of the year for the girls. It was a bitter-sweet day for Brandi as this will be her last meet in JBQ since she will be moving up to TBQ next year! Brandi and Alisha did well but it is tough competition in the "A" League this year, especially when you only have two people on the team. Rachel & her team came in 1st in the league for the year! What an exciting time for them since all five members are in their first JBQ year! They all did pee-wee quiz and moved up to JBQ this season. They will go to the state meet next month! |

Royal Ranger Winter Camp! BRRRR!
The coldest weekend of the winter and RJ has winter camp out! BRRRRR! As always there was tons of fun, tons of food and tons of cold! The commanders brought hay bales for everyone to sleep on to keep the cold from getting under then and keep them off the ground. Of course sleeping in a tent with a wood burner which keeps the temps around 65-70 isn't like sleeping in below zero weather anyway! The services were great, the 4-wheeler/sledding was great and he had lots of fun! |

TBQ Meet
RJ had a quiz meet today. The team won one or two but we are proud of them all regardless of a win/loss record. RJ didn't get a chance to answer any questions this time. But that is fine He is learning and reading God's Word on a daily basis so that is the important thing! |

January JBQ Meet
The girls had their JBQ Meet today. Both did well however it was hard coming so early in the month and after Christmas break. We do quiz practice as part of our schooling and of course being on break and then being gone for the long weekend and not taking our books with us (oops) we didn't get much study time in for this quiz meet.
They are learning to Hide God's Word in their hearts so that is the most important thing! |
