FOR TODAY, Monday, June 2nd...

Outside My Window... there is a beautiful blue and cloudless sky.  Very welcome after all the rain we've received lately.  The front porch is freshly painted (except for the ceiling, don't know when we'll do that), so it looks very cool and inviting.  Obviously the neighbor's cat thinks so, because it is wandering back and forth across the porch.

I am thinking... about all the schoolwork we'll need to accomplish this week.  And that I can hardly believe it is JUNE already!

I am thankful for... two friends that blessed me this weekend with lots of yarn for my knitting hobby

From the kitchen... for tonight - burgers on the grill.  The rest of the family will have to eat the black-bottom banana cake, brownies, and the cake from last night's party - I'm back on the diet!

I am wearing... khaki capris, a blue-green sleeveless t-shirt.  For now I also have a bandana holding back my hair, but it doesn't match my outfit so I will make sure I do something different with my hair before going out!

I am creating... several projects - still knitting squares for my afghan, I've been working on a knitted pillow cover that features cable stitching (which I recently learned to do), a quilting project that has been long-neglected but I will be working on again soon; and yesterday I bought material to sew myself a new dress, and material to re-cover the seat cushions of my dining room chairs.

I am going... to Knitting Circle this morning, to Kennady's ball game tonight, and to a church meeting afterwards.

I am reading... Pendragon by Stephen Lawhead

I am hoping... to stick to my diet this week.  I guess I shouldn't just hope for that, I should plan for it.

I am hearing... the boys start stirring from their beds, but otherwise it is quiet.

Around the house... we'll be gathering up yard sale fodder as we clean this week.

One of my favorite things... knitting.  It better be something I enjoy considering all the yarn I received this weekend!

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week:  baseball games, getting ready for the yard sale on Saturday, clearing off my desk.
