Class and story.
Hello everyone! I though I'd just do a little entry telling about church today. I went to my new class this morning and it went fine. It's the Junior High class. We have 6 girls (Elizabeth, me, Lydia, Anna, Jasmine, and Hannah) and 1 boy (Blake)!!! Anna wasn't there this morning, though. She's a new girl who's really nice and sweet! I MIGHT have told y'all about her before. IDK!
Speaking of church, today we recived this letter titled "Heavens' Art Gallery".
Here's the story that went along with it.........
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"One night I dreamed I was standing with Jesus in front of a beautiful museum in heaven.
"Let's go inside," said Jesus. "I want to show you something."
Adorning the walls were paintings, all masterpieces. Jesus explained that each one represents one human life. Every painting in the musuem was abounding with love, grace, peace and passion. I was overwhelmed with joy as I gazed at each one. They all moved me deeply and I was aware of everything lacking in my life.
I asked Jesus, "Who could paint such things of beauty? Did You or the angels make these? Surely, no human could create such perfection."
Jesus smiled, "These were all created by God's children."
"But how?" I asked. "It just isn't possible."
"With God's help, anything is possible," said Jesus. "Ordinary people who submitted their will to me created them. Whenever a heart is truly given to me in every way, that person's life will become a masterpiece. Pride, selfishness, fear, greed, doubt, and unbelief will corrupt their painting. But someone who loves me with all of his or her spirit, mind and body will live a life worthy of display."
We walked around the gallery admiring all the lives portrayed. After a while, Jesus said that was all there was to see here.
But I protested, "Surely there is more to see Lord. For You've shown me only a few."
Jesus said, "Yes, there is more."
He led me to the back of the museum and out into a massive warehouse. Stacked on pallets and laying in heaps on the floor were millions of paintings. I looked at a few and was disappointed. They were so poorly done. Some were torn, some were patched, and still others lay unfinishes.
"What is this Lord?" I asked. "Surely these don't belong here."
"Yes my son, they do," said Jesus. "For each one represents a precious life in progress."
"But they are such pitiful paintings. Hardly worthy of a musuem like this," I argued.
"Yes, you are correct they are not worthy," explained Jesus. "But My Father is very patient. Each person's life has a chance to become a masterpiece. All these people as long as they live, can still see their life displayed in heaven's art gallery."
"How can this be?" I asked. "Surely not through their own efforts."
"No, they will never do it on their own. They need only ask Me and I will help," said Jesus.
I timidly asked, "What will happen if they never ask?"
We walked to the very back of the warehouse and Jesus opened the doors. Off in the distance I saw stacks and stacks of paintings burning in massive piles. I turned to Jesus and there were tears on His cheek.
"All these tried it on their own. Actors and athletes, businessmen and butchers, executives and educators, preachers and politicians, moms and dads, rich and poor, foolish and wise-they are all here. As long as people keep trying under their own strength they will never be good enough. And their canvas will be thrown into the fire-never to be admired. What a terrible waste," sighed Jesus.
I wept with Him. It was such a tragic site.
Jesus closed the doors and we walked back into the warehouse.
I asked, "Lord is there hope for me?"
Jesus smiled, "Yes! Follow Me."
We walked into a small room that was empty except for a blank canvas sitting on an easel.
"What is this?" I asked.
"This canvas represents your life after it has been washed clean with My blood," said Jesus.
I marveled at how beautiful it was. They was not one blemish or imperfection anywhere on my canvas. Jesus handed me a brush and some paint.
"Make it whatever you wish," said Jesus.
I stood there for several minutes imagining all the things I could paint. I soon realized that I could do nothing that would ever be good enough for heaven's art gallery.
"Lord, I want to create a masterpiece, but I just can't."
Disappointed, I handed the brush back to Jesus, but He stopped me. Wrapping His hand around the brush in my hand and putting his arm around me He said,
"Let's make it together."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

BLOG!
Hey! I just wanted to let y'all know that we're about to leave for the American Idol concert! It's in Kansas City! I'm totally excited about it! Kansas City is where my Aunt Gretchen lives and we're going to stay with her for a while.
I'm totally pumped for it! YAY! We usually go shopping and go out to eat when we're with Aunt Gretchen! I love that! Shopping is like my favorite hobbie!
Anyways, right now my grandma's are at my house. One I call Grammy and the other one is Grammy's mom and I call her Grandma. Grandma hasn't been doing very good. She can't hardly remember things. She's living at the Nursing Home right now. :-(
It's sad.
Ok, well, I don't know what else to say!

Miley Cyrus quotes
Hey! I found these Miley Cyrus quotes on a website!!!

Miley describing herself in different situations and talking of her life as a normal girl and sharing annecdotes.
"With yourself, I think you have to decide the kind of person that you really want to be, and for me, it's just a sweet girl."
"You don't have to go out and party every night. You can act because it's your dream."
"I am not very good at keeping secrets at all! If you want your secret kept do not tell me!"
"[In a fight] I try to be the bigger person. There's no harm in saying, "You know what? Whatever. I'm going to let it roll off." I try to be generous with my response."
"I started getting to the point where I was, 'oh maybe this isn't what I'm supposed to do'." [before HM]
"I’ve got to make really good decisions. And that helps me in my real life because it’s that little voice in my head telling me right from wrong. More than just for myself, but for the girls who are watching me.”
"I'm pretty outspoken."
"The other day I was at a Us Weekly Party [dancing] and I started doing the springler and the running man. I'm not afraid to be embarased."
"The best part of my carreer is getting to meet so many different people, because I learn so much from everyone."
"I understand and the pressure is definitely hard, but I think just keeping your head on your shoulders is easier than it looks. I think if you know who you are, then I think you'll be fine for the rest of the way.”
"I cut the ribbon in Paris, and everyone in Paris speaks French — maybe you knew that. But I'm from Tennessee, and Tennessee girls don't speak French. So suddenly I'm stuck onstage with Minnie and Mickey and everyone is yelling at me in French — I guess they're telling me to get off the stage, but I didn't know what they were saying at the time, so I start dancing with Minnie and Mickey like on the show and finally my aunt comes and gets me off."
"I come from this really small town near Nashville, Tennessee, where everything was la-di-da and normal."
"It was hard to leave my school. I've been going to the same school since kindergarden."
"I don't want to be perfect, but I do want to be a role model. My mom always tells me that imperfections equal beauty. All of us are imperfect."
"Life is all about having a good time."
"What I always say is, 'you can't live a positive life with a negative mind and if you have a positive outcome you have a positive income and just to have more positivity and just to kind of laugh it off.'"
"Once I wash my face, and this all [make-up] comes off I look way young. That's the way I feel most comfortable in." [December 2007]
"Pink isn't just a color, it's an attitude!"

Hannah
Last night my cousin, Hannah, came over. She's 13 and in our home school co-op. She's SUPER nice (and pretty!) LOL!!! She lives in the same town I live in. She's an only child, but she's (well, SHE'S not but her family is) going to adopt a 4 year old from where Hannah was adopted. The little boy has no feet and no hands. But oh well! I'm going to have another cousin!

Kansas City
Hey there guys!
Kansas City! Last night we spent the night with Aunt Gretchen and 2night we're going to sleep at the Great Wolf Lodge. Aunt Gretchen is also. Nina and Pappaw (my grandma and grandpa) are sleeping over at Aunt Gretchen's. Tomorrow I think we're going to ski. Unless the weather's rainy. Pray it won't be! We all got matching Great Wolf Lodge shirts. We went shopping today. I got things from Old Navy, Aeropostale, Gap, and Bass. Tomorrow we might go to Justice and Limited Too but I don't have much money! Oh well! Tomorrow we also might go to the wolf lodge arcade. They've got the "Deal or No Deal" game there. Last thing I've got to say is that we're also going to take a picture with our cousin Clay in a photo booth!
See ya (well, I won't ''see'' you but ''blog'') later!

Talk to you later! I'll be swimming away tomorrow. P.S. I don't even have a cell phone yet! I might get one for my birthday though! I HOPE! I'm pretty sure I will! |

Tea Cup Story
This is a beautiful story......you will not be able to have tea in a teacup again without thinking of this.
There was a couple who took a trip to England to shop in a beautiful sntigue store to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary. They both liked antuques and pottery, and especially teacups. Spotting an exceptional cup, they asked "May we see that? We've never seen a cup quite so beautiful."
As the lady handed it to them, suddenly the teacup spoke, "You don't understand. I have not always been a teacup. There was a time when I was just a lump of red clay. My master took me and rolled me and pounded and patted me over and over and I yelled out, "Don't do that." "I don't like it!" "Let me alone," but he only smiled, and gently said; ''Not yet!"
Then WHAM! I was placed on a spinning wheel and suddenly I was spun around and arpund and arpund. "Stop it! I'm getting so dizzy! I'm going to be sick!" I screamed. But the master only nodded and said, quietly; 'Not yet.'
He spun me and poked and prodded and bent me out of shape to suit himself and then........then he put me in the oven. I never felt such hear. I yelled and knocked and pounded at the door. "Help! Get me out of here!" I could see him through the opening and I could read his lips as he shook his from side to side, 'Not yet'.
"When I thought I couldn't bear it another minute, the door opened. He carefully took me out and put me on the shelf, and I began to cool. Oh, that felt so good! "Ah, this is much better," I thought. But, after I cooled he picked me up and he brushed and painted me all over. The fumes were horrible. I thought I would gag. 'Oh, please; Stop it, Stop it!! I cried. He only shook his head and said, 'Not yet!'.
Then suddenly he put me back in to the oven. Only it was not like the fitsr one. This was twice as hot and I just knew I would suffocate. I begged. I pleaded. I screamed. I cried. I was convinced I would never make it. I was ready to give up. Just then the door opened and he took me out and again placed me on the shelf, where I cooled and waited-------and waited, wondering "What's he going to do to me next?"
An hout later he handed me a mirror and said "Look at yourself." And I did. I said, 'That's not me; that couldn't be me. It's beautiful. I'm beautiful!"
Quietly he spoke: "I want you to remember, then,' he said, 'I know it hurt to be rolled and pounded and patted, but had I just left you alone, you'd have dried up. I know ir made you dizzy to spin around on the wheel, but if I had stopped, you would have cracked. I know the fumes were bad when I brushed and painted you all over, but if I hadn't done that, you never would have hardened. You would have not had any colour in your life. If I hadn't put you back in that second oven, you wouldn't have survived for long because the hardness would not have held. Now you are a finished product. Now you are what I had in mind when I forst began with you."
The moral of this story is this: God knows what He's doing (for each of us). He is the potter, and we are His clay. He will mold us and make us, and expose us to just enough pressures of just the right kinds that we may be made into a flawless piece of work to fulfill His good, pleasing and perfect will.
So when life seems hard, and you are being pounded and patted and pushed almost beyond endurance; when your world seems to be spinning out of control; when you feel like you are in a fiery furnace of trials; when life seems to "stink", try this...........
Brew a cup of your favorite tea in your prettiest tea cup, sit down and think on this story and then, have a little talk with the Potter.

Romans 1:20
Hey!
We're in a Bible study class every Tuesday night. We had to remember a Bible verse. Here it is....................
Romans 1:20
"For the creation of the world, God's invisable qualities, His eturnal power and devine nature, have been clearly seen. Being understood by what has been made so that men are without excuse." P.S. I don't know if some of my spelling is wrong! Sorry if it is! Also I don't know if the wording is exact.

Hey everyone! I'm really excited about Thursday! KC here we come! We've already been to the Great Wolf Lodge once before (back in January or February, I can't remember!) and it's really fun! Clay (my soon to be 3 year old cousin) didn't get to go so this time he's taking us along! They have an inside water park! Our other cousin, Mattie (9 years old) got to go last time, but she doesn't get to come along this time. :-(Sorry Mattie! She's not home schooled. I don't think her mom wants her to be out of school again so she's not letting her go.
Oh, I've already told you about Emmy's room getting redone. I might ask her to take a few pics and post them on her blog of her (almost) finished room. The bedding is from Target. I'm also going to get my room redone but I've got to wait for about three months. :-( I really like one from dEiLAs. It's black with blue birds. I've also found a few I like from Target. That's where Emmy's if from. Her new wall color is light pink. She might not post pics but keep a look out because she might!
I've got to jet for now because I've got to work on my paper mache! I might make a ladybug or a turtle!

Also Thursday we're leaving for KC! YEAH! My dad will either be coming home on Thursday or Friday. He's our Wednesday night teen (and pre teen) class at church but Uncle Matt is going to do it instead tomorrow night.
My parents aren't going to KC with us. Aunt Jenny and Nina (my grandma) are taking us.

Something is wrong with California
| Something weird is going on in California. Well, they're doing something about home schooling. They passed a law that you have to have gone to and finished college to teach home school. Or have rights to do your own privite school. It makes me worry but I know that all I have to do is pray that God will place us in the right spot that that law will never come to Missouri. If so, I think we should do our own privite school from our co-op. I've never been to public school. I really hope that law never comes here because my mom doesn't have her college thing. PRAY!!!!! |
