Nestled in the heart of blackberry country, our home and school serve as a refuge to our souls. I am a home schooling mom of four and our family lives, loves and learns in the scenic countyside. A breath taking view of the ever changing and majestic Mt. St. Helens can be taken in from our giant living room and kitchen windows. (See a photo of the mountain in my slide show located below.) We have a front row seat to the mountain's many moods and faces. Each day in our country refuge brings a new adventure as we seek to serve and glorify the Lord!
Today was the first day in over a week that we have gotten a glimpse of Mt. St. Helens. As the low clouds and fog lifted this morning, we could see that the mountain had exchanged her gloomy, gray summer apparel for that of a new dress of white! The first snow of the season - and it came mighty early I might add! What a blessing to look out each day (when the mountain is not shrouded in clouds) and see the handiwork of God. Hope you enjoy the view from our place!
I use to live in the Northwet growing up. Every Sunday coming home from worship we would see this sight. It's a sight I look forward to everytime I visit. Thanks for a piece of home....
