Nestled in the heart of blackberry country, our home and school serve as a refuge to our souls. I am a home schooling mom of four and our family lives, loves and learns in the scenic countyside. A breath taking view of the ever changing and majestic Mt. St. Helens can be taken in from our giant living room and kitchen windows. (See a photo of the mountain in my slide show located below.) We have a front row seat to the mountain's many moods and faces. Each day in our country refuge brings a new adventure as we seek to serve and glorify the Lord!
As I was at the computer this evening, my youngest young man announced that he wanted to see the pictures on my blog. Upon looking there, we both discovered that I did not have many photos of his cute, smilin' face; so I determined to change that immediately! So if you will indulge me...here is a sampling of my busy guy's life!
"Hey mom, check out this cool dude!"
My skating boy doing a high kick-flip.
Doing tricks in a cool alley in the little town of Sandpoint Idaho.
"Mom and dad, I finally caught a fish!"
My boy scout getting his merit badge awards at the last Court of Honor.
My little guy is growing up and bringing our family more joy with each passing day. Thank you Lord for the gift of sons!
Thanks for the advice on geography. We are using Beautiful Feet and studying American History so they have been doing maps with that. I also decided to do a state once a week in the order that they were entered into the United States. We just do the basic: capitols, population, state flower, state bird, and state motto. What I enjoy is to see which states have mottos that actually include God in them. We happen to be living in one: Florida's state motto is "In God we Trust".
I am glad that you posted pictures - I knew that you had two girls (and the horses) but....I don't recall your handsome son. That's some awesome skateboarding tricks!
