Children Truly Are A Blessing!

Yesterday was Mother's Day and yes, I realize it has come and gone, but this morning I still bask in the warmth that comes with the knowledge that my children are all safe and secure. Two of them are adults, married and living their own lives. One is a teenager and still at home with us. Mother's Day has an extra special meaning for me because for many years I did not have the blessing of being with 2 of my children on this day, or any other day, for that matter. For me, Mother's Day is a day of thanksgiving, it is a day of rejoicing in the realization that God has restored to us, something absolutely wonderful. He has restored us to each other. Never again will I take family for granted. I understand, all too well, that families can be separated, sometimes forever and sometimes for very long periods of time. It was with great joy that I sat with my 16 year old daughter and my 39 year old daughter in church services this Mother's Day. Thank you, God, for your love, your compassion and for your blessing to me in the lovely form of children. |
