He spoke of the ministry of reconciliation he has among Native American and indigenous peoples. He brought with him members of his church who performed a worship dance in Native American costumes up on the stage. The dance was set to a worship song based on Isaiah 40:31 using Native American instruments and musical style. They encouraged audience members to get up and join them,... Many places in Northern Virginia did indeed receive 30+" of snow. DC snowfall made the #4 spot in the historic snowfall list, missing the top spot by only an inch or so. Residents have lost power. Roofs have collapsed. Thankfully we received a mere 20". Now the weatherman predicts more...and it indeed has begun to snow at 5pm. Really, now. We shouldn't get piggish with all this snow. This was a wonderful soul-feeding and brain-feeding time. The theme was "Reconciling Nations". The emphasis throughout the conference was on the ministry of reconciliation given by Christ to us as believers. The first plenary speaker was Joseph D’Souza, president of OM India and founder of The Dalit Freedom Network. His ministry is to the Dalit people of India. I have totally lost count of how many loads I have completed today--and that means wash, dry fold AND put away--and it still is not complete!!! The one thing that has made the laundry load higher than usual is the fact we actually have snow here in TN. I know you are probably wondering why that would cause laundry. I found that we needed more time learning the letters, so we are carrying over the ones we started learning last week, about 10. Since this week has a focus on history and culture, I did a bit of research and found out that Ethiopian history is rather longer than American history. It’s very easy to change the look by doing more or fewer sections. One big section produces a very loose wave, and five sections makes an ultra-wavy/curly look. You will need to wash your bandanas before using them to make them softer and roll/fold them like a sausage, not point-to-point. I did these waves in the evening and let them dry over night. 1.
