Apr. 20, 2006 - yea, TOS just arrived
I've been reading TOS this afternoon (instead of doing Math, oops). I just love the driving analogy. I've been thinking about what kind of driver I am. I think I'm most like the Taxi driver, which is not far from what I would mind being in real life if it ever came down to it. :) I like to get into good conversations, but then move on to see what else I can pick up on. I love racing and would love to be a race car driver in real life :), but I'm not fast enough with the computer or thinking through ALL the information that goes on around me. Sometimes I find myself being a school bus blogger with the same route every day and looking at the same sites/friends and leaving comments here and there. I'm just not consistent enough for it to be called a rountine. I think maybe we could add one more kind of blogger, the soccer mom driver/blogger. This kind of blogger has a weekly routine but different everyday and she has to pick up familiar faces and catch up with them now and again. She has other places to go while she's taking the kids somewhere. She is supportative to all, but sometimes overwhelmed with trying to remember all that she's keeping up with. Like I said before, I really related to this analogy, but now back to math and school planning for next week.Comments

What about the Sunday afternoon driver? I'm the dude that likes to take it slow, enjoy the scenery, and couldn't care less about the people who are in too big of a hurry to be behind me :-)

I'm glad you enjoyed the TOS article I wrote. I had a lot of fun with it. I'm a race car driver for sure. But I think I need to slow down a little, or at least get a pit stop or I'll probably crash soon.
If you have no idea what we're talking about, then get yourself the spring issue of TOS and figure out what kind of blogger you are! I'd love to know.

I'm eagerly waiting for my copy. It seems to take a while to get here sometimes--those border crossings really slow down the mail sometimes. :) When I do get it, I usually read it cover to cover in a couple of days.

when I first read your post I did not understand what you meant, but during my dc's swim lesson tonight I read the article you mentioned... I think I am a cross between sunday driver and school bus driver with a little taxi driver on the side!

it was a cute analogy but I didn't fit a type! Hmmm...
Maybe taxi driver fits best. That's a good one.
Nice blog!

I like your soccer Mom idea! Reading your post reminded me that I haven't planned much for this week. Have a great one!
