We've had snow once this year - about two or three inches, but mostly it hasn't been very cold. It's about 5 degrees C/40 degrees F today. Fife has the sea to the east, and estuaries to the north and south; I'm told that the position tends to make winters less extreme. We can see snow on the hills to the north of us, in Angus and Perthshire.

oh wow, the photo with the trees and part of a road, that would be lovely framed, or as a greeting card.

What gorgeous photos! And, what a gorgeous place!!!
We homeschool in the US (my blog is www.alexml.blogspot.com) and we're taking our first overseas trip this summer - to Ireland and SCOTLAND! We're so excited.
I googled for homeschool blogs and came across yours. Do you have any tips for what we should see/do? We'll be in Edinburgh for 4 weekdays and my daughter is 8. Also, I'd love to see some Scotish dancing - is there someplace we could see that during the week?
Thanks! And you truly live in a beautiful country!
