My Precious Children!

I couldn't let this picture go unblogged!  I managed to get all the kids to lay down for about 5 minutes and I took picture after picture to try to get the perfect one.  And I think I just about did.  People have asked me how I did it and I'll try to see if I can describe the "moment."
I had them all lay down with the tops of their heads at the ear of the nearest sibling.  I had to place them in this pattern myself.  Of course Daniel (top right) was the most eager to get up.  But I acted crazy-like and kept telling them to "look at the fan" (which I had turning above my head).  I stood over the kids, pressed the camera's button part way down (you now, to focus it), and then I quickly leaned down to just within inches of their faces and made funny faces and funny noises.  After about 3 seconds I immediately raised back up without even aiming or checking the image in the camera, and pushed the button the rest of the way down.  CLICK--I got the picture.  The beauty of digital is I could take so many (about 5 or 6).  By that time they were all ready to get up.
I did "doctor" this picture up slightly.  I cropped it into this square to focus on the faces.  I rotated it about 45 degrees so that they were all at the angle and not straight across and up and down.  And then I rotated it on it's axis so that Joshua was in the top left corner.  He had the most "unnatural" smile and so it looked better Upside-Down.
And Voila!   I just love this picture!!!  The only thing I might do different if I tried again is to put them on a more neutral background (I already had Miriam on the pink taking her picture so I just did it there) and I'd have them all dressed in the same color (this was very spontaneous and 2 of them are still in their PJs!).
