Seedtime and Harvest...John 3:16

"FOR   GOD  SO   LOVED  THE  WORLD  THAT   HE   GAVE  HIS   ONE   AND  ONLY  SON THAT      WHOEVER   BELIEVES  IN  HIM  SHALL  NOT  PERISH  BUT HAVE  ETERNAL  LIFE."

John 3:16

Little Amy, 6, chose this verse of the day.

He gave His only son to die on the cross that you shall give your life for each other.

You should lay down your life for each other.  It's being nice.  It isn't being mean.  You don't want to be mean to each other.  You want to be good to each other.

I wish if you aren't a Christian, I hope you will become a Christian.  I wish everybody in the  whole entire world to be good and nice and be a Christian and not like Satan. I want to know from you if you are a Christian.  Please comment.

A note from Momma....

When I was little, about Amy's age, I went to a little after school Bible school once a week.  I don't remember much from that time other than enjoying the felt board Bible stories.  I also enjoyed singing Jesus Loves Me, He's Got the Whole World in His Hands and other songs.  We memorized Bible verses to earn prizes.  My mom didn't mind me going to the class; but, I wasn't raised in a Christian home. I remember asking Jesus into my heart in that little class.  I had to confess my sin, so I said I hit my little brother.  We moved away shortly after that class ended.  There wasn't any other Christian influence in my life for a long time.  I was taught right and wrong; and, I was taught there was a God and even Jesus.  However, we didn't live a Christian life.  I believe God honored my little girl request to come into my heart.  I believe He was with me through all the terrible years.  Eventually, in my middle teens, God brought John 3:16 to my mind.  It bugged me until I found someone who could lead me back to Jesus.

Plant the seeds of faith in your little ones.  No matter what happens in the meantime, there is seedtime and harvest.  Trust the Lord of the Harvest to bring your little ones to Him in His timing.  Oh yeah, pray like there's no tomorrow, too.

About Me

I've been blogging over on wordpress for awhile. I love it. My kids are really interested in my blog; so, I decided to let them help me blog. I thought this might encourage thought about scriptures, copywork/typing skills, and writing skills; hence, my kids will be blogging with Momma. Some of the entries will be from me; some of the entries will be from my children and me. We'll just see how this all develops. We're rather eclectic in our homeschooling. We use elements of Sonlight, Charlotte Mason, a text book or two, and some unschooling. Whatever works is what we try to do.
