Our 24th Year

Nov. 30, 2006 - Pictures from Thanksgiving

We had a blessed Thanksgiving.  We went to my daughter, Dusty's home.  You might notice in the pictures that their home is in the middle of renovations, but that did not matter to us.  Thanksgiving is about family getting together to give thanks to G-d!

The photos were taken by my daughter, Hannah, so she is not in any of the pictures.

This first picture is my 22 year old son, Jesse, with my granddaughter, Jorja.  She is enjoying "playing" the guitar for the first time.

This is my daughter, Dusty.  She prepared more than half of the wonderful dinner.

This is Jorja with her daddy, my son-in-law, Tomme.

This is my youngest son, Sam, who is 17.

This is Jesse and Sam's annual Thanksgiving tradition of a concert for our entertainment.  They are both quite good, but both need to be less shy about their voices--which are good!--and sing a little louder.  We love this part of the evening.

1 Chronicles 29:13
Now, our God, we give you thanks, and praise your glorious name.

Oh, I pray that my family will still be close when my kids are grown and having their own kids. My own family has drifted apart both in miles and emotions. Oh, we don't fight and we all still get along well with my parents, but us kids don't really have a longing to be together. We pull together in times of crisis, but that is it. You really are totally and wonderfully blessed.

I'm so glad you had a nice dinner together. I love the pictures. It's always so fun to have that glimpse into a friend's life and see their beautiful family. Thanks for sharing.
