We are having our beloved Ginger put down tomorrow morning.  I've postponed it 3 times and cannot postpone it any longer.  I am deeply saddened but know that it's time.  Her health has declined rapidly this past year and seeing her in so much pain has just gotten to be too much.  I think I've been putting it off for selfish reasons really.  It's so hard for me to think that a chapter in our lives is ending.  She's been with us for 12 years.  We are not telling the girls right away.  Bella thinks that she's going in for boarding tomorrow.  I will tell her after we get to Mexico when I think the time is right.  I hope that I can keep it together when I drop her off in the morning.  I've already spoken with the vet and it will be a quick signing of paperwork and then I can go.  I have already said my goodbyes and I cannot bear to be with her when they do it.  I love her vet and feel good with her being with Ginger.

Bella stayed at Maggie's last night and trick or treated with her family.  It was so quiet here with just Andrew & me.  A little creepy actually.  I had to turn the TV on for some company.  I double checked all the doors to make sure they were locked and then found out this AM that I left my key in the door OUTSIDE yesterday, so I was not locked in like I thought.

We hired a cleaning person to come in every 2 weeks for 2 hours  each time while we're gone.  It's so weird.  She's here now.  I have never in my life had someone clean for me.  It's a little bizarre for me.  She's downstairs right now washing floors.  At least it will give me peace of mind that my house is getting cleaned while we're gone.

Let's see..........Kit, Mo and the boys will come next Friday and spend the day and night.  They're driving us to the airport.  I miss my little Amelia.  Even though its nice to get a break, I miss her like crazy already!  I won't see her for another 10 days.

I think I'm ovulating again.  If I am, it's on CD 20 according to my possible AF.  If it's a true ovulation, I think I can expect AF again on the day that we travel----oh joy.

I packed the girls' Christmas presents.  Their dolls are adorable.  I cannot wait for Christmas morning.  I'm feeling quite good about leaving.  I thought that I might start having reservations as the day gets closer, but I'm actually embracing the idea with open arms.  I just want to unpack and settle into a routine so it's clear to me that we're there for a while, not just a vacation.
