Yet Will I Praise Thee...

Posted in Adoption

even in the dark, even in the shadow of thy wings.

Right now, life seems rather dark.  I just talked to Eric.  It is 3:00 in the afternoon on Tuesday.  I was expecting to hear wonderful news from him.  I was expecting him to say I have the passport in hand and all is ready for us to board the flight tomorrow.

Instead, I heard him say that the promised paperwork did not come in today.  He has been given no answers.

My soul is weak right now.  I still have faith in my God, my Creator.  I just do not understand and I have to admit that I am asking why right now.

I will call Eric at 1:00 our time to hopefully get more info.  But, for now, I guess I am asking you once again to pray on our behalf.

May the LORD God, Jehovah Jireh show Himself mighty and powerful in this. May He overcome earthly authorities and officials. May He bless and prosper the mission your husband is on to bring home the very children the Lord Himself promised to care for.

Strengthen the weak and feeble knees sister, and remind me to do the same when my time comes.

I know that it is hard to remember, but God is in control of this situation, and this is not a surprise to Him. It is his plan and He is working it out in His time.

Oh Father, Heather's heart is heavy as I'm sure Eric's is too. They are tired and weary. Lord cover them with your peace-- absorb them both in it. Bless the children, those at home and those with Eric. Those at home must be missing their Daddy. This setback as the others, is no surprise to you. Help them trust you to work in His time. Give them an additional measure of strenth to get through this. Comfort them Lord as only you can. Move the mountain Father. In Jesus great and powerful name. Amen

On a different note-- here is the story of my headcovering journey http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/homeskoolmom/116974/

Don't worry. . . we have not grown fainthearted in our prayers.
