It is my goal to use this book blog to do more than just review books I've read. I'd like to work toward something a little more interactive- possibly a "book club" type set of posts. I'd also like to have information from my readers about what you like to read.
And, so, to begin a move toward a more interactive blog, I'd like to host a book giveaway.
What you can win: Your choice of one of the three following books:
Playing for Pizza- John Grisham
Overcoming Fear, Worry, and Anxiety- Elyse Fitzpatrick
Children of Hurin- JRR Tolkien
There should be something there no matter what your genre preference.
Here is what I would like you to do: Please leave a comment telling what your favorite genre is and telling me what book you have read and enjoyed lately. I will give you one entry for leaving the comment and another entry if you link to this post in your blog.
I'm only choosing one winner, and the drawing will close next Friday night, the 9th.
Please enter and spread the word. I'd really like to do some fun things here over the next year.

Hey! My favourite genre would probably be historical fiction, or history. The books you listed sound interesting, and I will put a link to you on my blog =D
I am reading and very much enjoying Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy right now!

I will have to say that my genre is Education, and the book that I am reading now is "teach your child to read in 100 easy lessons" is more of a step by step book, but I am enjoying it too.

Hi Courtney,
My favourite genre is Christian classics or Christian biographies. My recent favourite has been the original Pilgrim's Progress. I had never read it before and was surprised by how good it actually was. I've also recently really enjoyed a publication by SIM called "Fire on the Mountains." It's about a revival that God led the people southern Ethiopia through in the 30's and 40's. Very good.

Besides the Bible, I like to read non-fiction, especially apologetics, Christian living, spiritual growth, biographies, autobiographies, devotionals, inspirational, and poems.
I am reading "Reflections of God's Holy Land: A Personal Journey Through Israel" by Eva Marie Everson and Miriam Feinberg Vamosh.
