The Legendary Warriors

• Mar. 10, 2009 - Chapter 3: Where Are We?

When Lexi awoke, she was lying on a patch of soft green grass under a tree. The others were still unconscious close by.
Lexi crawled over and shook Chris. "Wake up." She said.
Chris stirred and opened his eyes. "Lexi? What happened?" He asked as he sat up. "Where are we?"
Lexi looked at him with big eyes. "I have no idea, but we better wake up Hunter and Sarah."
"It's okay." Came a voice. Hunter sat up. "We're up."
Sarah's hair was in a mess when she got up. In spite of themselves, the kids started to laugh. Sarah huffed angrily, then started laughing too.
Suddenly, they heard a voice say, "Excuse me."
At once they stopped laughing and looked around, but they were alarmed to see what had spoken.
It was a koala like creature, standing no higher then 3 feet tall, wearing silver armor with a blue plait on the front bearing the symbol ALD, in gold letters.
"Are you lost?" The koala asked. "I've never seen you around these parts."
"Actually," Lexi said, "We have no idea where we are! We got sucked here by a book and-"
The koala cut her off. "A book you say?"
"Yeah. This one!" Chris held up the blue rimmed book that had brought them here.
The koala gasped. "The Book of Time!" His ear twitched nervously.
The kids looked at each other bemused. "The Book of Time?" Sarah asked finally.
The koala came a little closer and looked to each of the kids. "Wait. Then that means... You are the kids from the legend!"
Hunter stood up and said, "Excuse me, but we don't know what you're talking about."
The koala looked dazed. "W-what? Y-you haven't heard the legend?" His round curious eyes were big. “Then you mustn’t be from around here!”
"No." Sarah responded. "Can you tell us about it?"
"Tell? Tell? I can do better then that! Come with me and I'll show you!" The koala responded as he started to head up the hill.
The kids hesitated. Then Sarah called, "Wait! We need to discuss it."
The koala stopped and nodded. "All right. I'll be right here if you want to follow."
The kids huddled in a big group and whispered to each other, "Should we trust the creature? Thing? Whatever it is?"
"It looks like a koala to me." Chris said, gesturing to the small creature.
"Whatever it is, how do we know we can trust it?" Hunter asked.
"I'm afraid," Lexi responded, "We have no other option. We have no idea where we are or how the heck we got here and this little fellow is offering to tell us about this legend!"
    "Yeah but-" Hunter started.
"But nothing, bro. This guy seems like a nice lil fellow. Maybe if we can find out about this legend, then maybe we can figure out someway to get home!"
Hunter looked at the ground and sighed. "You're right. It's not going to help us to just sit here."
The group broke up and they walked over to the koala, who looked from one to the other.
“Lead the way little guy.” Hunter said.
The koala perked up and grinned. “All righty then, follow me, let’s not waste anymore time.” He started up the hill with the kids following behind. “My name is Clyde by the way.” He said.
“Nice to meet you Clyde.” Lexi said politely. “My name is Lexi.”
“I’m Sarah, nice to make your acquaintance.”
    “I’m her older brother, Chris.”
“And I’m Hunter. I’m the oldest of us.”
Clyde nodded as each of them introduced themselves to him, the faced forwards again and muttered something the kids couldn’t hear. Suddenly, he perked up again and hurried ahead of the group. “We’re here!” He called over his shoulder.
“Where’s here?” Sarah asked. But the words got caught in her throat when they all reached the top of the hill. Finally, she was able to speak. “O-oh WOW!”
Clyde stood on a rock and made a dramatic sweep with his furry arms and exclaimed, “Welcome to Aldarant!
The hill sloped downwards into a valley where an amazingly large town sat. The houses were made of brick and decorated with pretty carvings. There were lots of dots moving around the town, probably the villagers, and sitting on the far end was the most majestic castle any of the kids had ever seen. Standing much taller then the town with the rising run behind it, with the white paint and gold carvings, blue towers and brilliant red waving flags and lovely plants in the front, it was a sight that just blew you away.
The kids stood there stunned for quite a time, taking in the sights. Finally, Lexi spoke. “Aldarant, right? Wow. It’s amazing.”
“Indeed it is.” Clyde said. “But we should get a move on. Come come.” He plodded down the hill towards the village.
The kids followed behind him, tromping through the grass.

• Nov. 11, 2008 - Chapter 2: The Book of Mysteries

As the kids crowded inside, the sky became darker and darker and a few lightning bolts flashed.
"Very unusual." Chris commented.
"Si. Indeed." Hunter agreed.
Lexi blew out her breath. "All right, now what?"
"Let's go up to the club house and think of something." Sarah suggested.
The kids had a club house in Lexi's attic. There was a TV, some couches, a pet bed for Silver, boxes, and, of course, FOOD!

Lexi munched on some nice and warm nachos. "I love nachos. Gooey, cheesy chips! Yum!"
"Nacho's aren't my thing. Do you have any Cheetos?" Chris asked, slinging himself onto another couch.
Lexi turned her head towards her brother who was near the food pantry. "Hey Hunter, could you throw over some Cheetos?"
Hunter bent down, pulled some Cheetos out of the pantry and threw them over at Chris. "Catch!"
Chris caught it and ripped the bag open. "Now THIS is a snack!" He popped a few into his mouth.
"Hey Lexi! I didn't know you had so many cool things up here! Why are they all in boxes in the attic though instead of in your room?" Sarah called from the side of the attic with a ton of boxes.
Lexi gazed at her. "Cause most of this stuff I don't use or it's too old."
Sarah pulled out of the boxes various stuff. "Wow! A Jonas Brother's audigraphed CD! A poster of Switchfoot! Ooo! What a cute shirt! If you're not going to use this stuff, could I maybe have some of it?" Sarah asked enviously.
"Well, I guess if it's all right with your parents. But check with me on the items you want." Lexi said.
"Chris! A astronomical book on eqinox-ial, oh whatever!"
"Oo! Really?" Chris got up to scavenge through the stuff. "Hey Lexi, could I have this?" He held up a scientific book.
"Sure thing! I never understood it anyways!"
Hunter also got up and started looking through the boxes. "Hey! I found one with lots of books!" He called. "Lexi, I didn't know you had so many books!"
Lexi joined him. "But.. I don't! This must be grandpa's box of stuff. We shouldn't touch it."
Hunter looked at the lable. "Yup. This is grandpas. But aren't you curious to see what's in here?"
"No.. Ok, yes." Lexi gently placed the books on the floor while reading the titles. "Mystic Beasts, The Third Dimention, The Terra Deep, Goodness! What are all these books about?!" She questioned.
"I'm beginning to think Grandpa did more then just sit in his office all day." Hunter said.
"Hey! Look at this one!" Sarah reached into the box and pulled out a small blue book with gold linings.
"Here, give it to me." Lexi took it from Sarah and everyone huddled around.

The binding was worn and it was dusty, but the gold linings seemed to shine. The blue leather made it seem as if the book was brand new, when in fact it was old.
"Open the book sis." Hunter said. "Let's see what's inside."
Lexi slowly opened the book. "That's weird. There's nothing in it!" She said staring at the blank pages.
"I know! Maybe it's invisable ink!" Chris suggested.
"Possibly.." Sarah said.
Lexi lightly brushed her fingers across the smooth page. As she did, the page began to shine and gold letters appeared. Lexi's eyebrows rose. "Whoa." She whispered.
Everyone in the room gasped in awe. "H-how did you do that Lexi?" Sarash asked, amazed.
Lexi stared wide eyed at her. "I- I don't know!" She responded.
"What does it say?" Chris asked, peering at the page.
Lexi shrugged. "I can't read it. It's written in a different language. Unlike I've ever seen before!"
"It can't be Spanish, French, Lattin, Portuguese, Itallian, Dutch, Greek, Hebrew or Japanese. And it sure can't be English. Oi!" Hunter said. "I've never read a language like this before!"
Sarah shivered. "Brr! It's cold in here. Did you leave a window open Lexi?" She rubbed her arms.
"No." Lexi said slowly. "The windows are all closed and we don't have a fan up here... But you're right! It is getting cold!" She glanced down at the book and noticed the words were turning an icy blue and starting to glow brightly.
A strong wind suddenly blew the kids to the ground. The room started to spin and lights flashed in every color.
Sarah gripped her stomach. "I think I'm going to hurl!" She yelled above the wind.
"What's going on?!?" Chris shouted.
"I don't know!!" Hunter shouted back. "But everyone hold hands! We don't want to be carried off by this wind!!" He locked hands with Chris and his sister.
As everyone joined hands, the world completely turned white and there was a huge FLASH!

• Oct. 3, 2008 - Chapter I: The Adventure Begins

The story begins one fair fall afternoon in the backyard of Lexi Hodgins. Lexi was relaxing on a lawn chair on the back porch with her grey tabby, Silver, asleep on her lap when her friend Sarah and her brother, Christopher, came around. "Hey Lexi!" Sarah called.
Lexi stood up to greet them and dumped Silver off her lap. "Oops. Sorry Silver." She said when her tabby meowed angrily at her.

Lexi was a 13 year old, tall tan skinned girl with a hime cut of brown hair and a optomistic personality. She was a wiz when it came to computers, but was terrible at Math.

"Hello Lexi. Hi Silver. Nice weather we're having today isn't it?" Chris said smiling.

Chris was also a 13 year old, older then Lexi by a few months. He was a peach skinned boy with spiked black hair and a genius when it came to scientific stuff. He never went anywhere without his book about molecular structures.

Chris snapped his fingers. "Oh! That reminds me--" He got cut off by Sarah.
"Oh Chris, PLEASE don't start talking about your theory on what makes wind!!" She groaned.

Sarah was 12 years old with matching peach skin like Chris. She had short sunstreaked brown hair and a short temperment. None the less, if you got to know her, you would see that she's a nice girl.

Lexi laughed at the two. They were always fighting and made quite a sight. She turned when she heard the back door slide open. "Oh! Hi Hunter!"
"Hola sis, Hello Chris, Bonjour Sarah." Hunter said smiling.

Hunter was Lexi's 14 year old adopted brother. He was a cute dark tan skinned boy with a black evanstyle haircut. His glowing green eyes and charming personality made all the girls want to be around him. His specailty was forin languages. He spoke and wrote over 15 languges!

"Hi Hunter!" Sarah said dreamily. "Good day Hunter." Chris greeted him.
"Como esta usted? (How are you?) " Hunter asked the two kids.
Sarah and Chris knew a little bit of Spanish and reponded to him, "Estoy bien, gracias. (I am fine, thank you) Como esta usted?"
Hunter smiled. "Estoy bien, gracias. Bien! You're getting good at speaking Spanish!"
"Gracias, I'll take that as a comment." Chris said. Then he looked up at the sky, which had turned a dull purple color. "Very unusual change of color in the sky." He exclaimed.
"Si!" Hunter agreed. "Indeed it is! I wonder why..."
