An interesting homeschool article............but the stereotying does bother me a little. Nonetheless, it makes a good point about our materialistic society.
We are calling this our year without a summer. It has been an adventure, but we are excited to be moving on. We will be heading to Juneau, Alaska. Still not hot summer weather, but warmer than here.
This may be the opinion of the adults and parents but what do you suppose their children have to say about "those kids" when they see them in the grocery store? When my son told all of his friends he was being homeschooled they were all a bit envious! Every one of them said they wished their parents would do it! My son doesn't have all the latest toys and gadgets but his friends all want to come to our house! One of his friends told me last year that his mom doesn't care what his grades are as long as the school isn't calling her. Children want to know they are valued and loved. Homeschooling them is the ultimate proof to them that they are!
